Having gone through the "search" on issues that cause the front end "clunk", I still have a question.
My front end "clunks" when reversing, especially when turning. Having checked the usual culprits it seems isolated to the struts. The drivers side strut at the top tower, does not rotate...
I noticed that the rubber vent hose on my diff is not really secured to anything and just flops around. Anyone know if it should have been secured in a bracket or something? Also seems a bit "cheap" of Ford to leave it with an pen end and nothing to stop a few bugs plugging it up!
I just had the dealer fix a small leak at the rear diff cover (under warranty) seam. I had expected that they would remove the cover, clean the mating faces, apply the RTV and reassemble. Instead they removed the entire diff assembly to do it. Is this the recommended procedure?

The SVT Handbook addendum calls for the use of the 5-20W "Supreme" Ford Oil (no Ford part or spec references) yet the 5-20W oil from Motorcraft refers to itself as just a "premium synthetic blend". Are these one and the same, or is there a different versions of the Ford 5-20W?
