So looks like the roof paint on my Tundra is fading.

Typically I hit the Touch less wash every other week and get the Wax Deluxe whatever.

What do I need to do to start correcting or slowing? It's an outdoor truck.

Rest of it is super glossy.

I personally would wash it, clay bar, then go to work with a moderate cutting pad and compound. Then go from there.

Unfortunately, it's done. As stated above, that's clear failure. It's just going to get worse. You could polish it, wax/seal it, it'll look better temporality, but it's going to continue to degrade.

Sorry!

Spraymax 2k $24 on Amazon. Then wet sand and buff. Won't be perfect but it will definitely look better. Here is a set of 2008 crown vic headlights I did with the stuff before buffing. We know how yellow these get.

The car wash rainbow spooge won't provide long term UV protection.

If I were in your shoes, I would claybar, compound, polish, then ceramic coat it. It should keep it from getting any worse for a while. Just make sure you keep up on it or it'll all fade out again and keep getting worse.

When I had my old black Marauder ceramic coated it kept the roof in check for about 2 1/2 years, once the coating was noticeably gone the roof started to get more paint issues (notorious problem on those cars).

I had my 19 Tacoma ceramic coated when I bought it and my dumb ass ran it thru a speedway Carwash during a chicago winter and sure as shit it removed the coating away I had zero beeding of water just a flat sheet of water lol them chemicals are harsh on the paint. Only good thing is my porter did the work and all he wanted was a half a slab of portillos ribs for lunch it took him a few hours and it didn’t cost me anything so I wasn’t bothered. Never again no matter what no gas station touchless carwash.

I would do this exactly this and after every Carwash I would spray ceramic coat the roof to protect it from getting worse.
