You did a hell of a job. It's rewarding both personally and to your wallet when you can do it yourself. Or.....you can be blessed with a best friend who is a professional detailer, and who absolutely refuses to take any money for detailing/ceramic coating my last three vehicles.

I have a friend like that and he owns a tint shop and he said bring the cobra by on a weekend and he will re tint it for free. You're lucky with that because it takes so much time to do a full detail.

As far as what I did on my Cobra today I finished setting up the quick jacks and pulled the saleen wheels off to clean them up. Found a few good and bad things. Good things it also has an upgraded swaybar on the back to match the front one, has a low profile IRS bolt but the bad thing is I discovered that my rear drivers side saleen wheel is bent. It did have a shimmy during the test drive down in VA but I chalked that up to the wheel weights being knocked off. But I do have a wheel repair place close to me so I can have it repaired. I didn't take any pics but looks as though the passenger side front was also repaired previously. I tend to think that these wheels came off a wrecked saleen at one point. These wheels made their way onto the car sometime between 2021 -2023. Also I did confirm that they are the optional 18X10 wheels for the rear.

That's a good size dent. A prior accident surely wouldn't be out the question.

Gave her a bath for the first time in a year. Boy was she filthy. Adjusting the clutch little by little. Gotta fix an exhaust leak, and realign the exhaust and she will be solid. For now lol

Turned the key to ON for the last time until after the body is done. Cleaned all the parts (and mice) out of the interior and started stripping the wiring out. Taking it down to a steel shell and removing the roof before changing the passanger quarter this year. Currently washing the interior panels and storing them in the spare room and painting the mirrors since im doing the saleen mirrors at the same time. Also painting the cobra door cups.
If anyone knows of a clean passanger coupe quarter in the northeast i am very interested.

80#injectors, twin AEM 320LPH pumps, BAP.
FYI, I ran those 320's in my stock system and they didn't last long. Granted this was a couple years ago, but they didn't like the returnless set up. I wanted them so I could try E85 at the time and they were listed as compatible. Maybe they've changed the design, but I would watch your fuel pressure.

The plan is a carbon roof as well as carbon splitters, wiper cowl, fog light bezels, mirror brackets, bumper inserts, grill backing trim, interior door carpet replacement and flat bottom steering wheel. I do want to find someone to make a carbon roof but with the body lines like the s550 has, subtle but classy. The only two major decisions I still need to make is seats, either orm cobra with charcoal centers or recaro toplines like the saleen but with grey centers and a cobra logo stitched in with a rear seat delete, and I need to decide on color. I always wanted DSG but am really leaning towards HOK galaxy grey since this car wasn't DSG from the factory. I need to decide on this soon since I want to clear the mirrors the same time I do the saleen ones.

When you get that roof done will it be you doing it or a shop? Just curious as I have seen the roof replacement for our cars and it’s straight forward from what I can tell.

I will do the install myself. From what I can see it is straightforward. I plan to do everything myself actually. The best way to learn is by doing.

Hard to see unless you zoom, but I started changing out the black oxide arp hardware to stainless steel. I grew tired of the black oxide hardware developing rust. I started with the throttle body, waiting on bolts for the IAC along with some other hardware I ordered from Allen’s fasteners.

If you do happen to find someone to make a carbon fiber roof panel with the lines like the S550 down the middle can you please post up about it here? I wouldn't mind doing the same if it's nice and subtle and doesn't stand out to much. I think it would look very good. One of my favorite things about the S550 is the roof indention.
Thanks,
Ken
