765 was competently driven and on slicks. It was a surprisingly even match - the 765 was of course faster on the straights, the GT4 was quicker in the corners and, to a lesser extent, braking. We ended up running lap times less than 0.5s apart.
What's your current list of race cars?Yah, it was an interesting contest between a missile and a scalpel -- with the Mustang being in the unusual role of being the scalpel
Stay tuned for laps in the MKIV early next year. That promises to be a different story - a scalpel with JATO rockets.
Indeed, we moved to Austin back in Feb after a decade of visiting the area and it's ... honestly, much better even than I had expected. Proximity to COTA is just one of many upsides here - the city is friendly and walkable, the food is off the charts (Texas BBQ!!? it's like crack) and the people are much friendlier than I'm used to. The new house has an amazing view and is close to downtown. The one real downside is that we had to choose between "great view" and "lots of garage space" and we chose the former, so most of the cars live a few minutes away at a showroom/storage facility.Awesome vid! Thanks for posting!
Off topic -- Ben, would you mind posting a thread on the new place and garage? I know a bunch of us love getting a behind the scenes look at your lifestyle and if I remember correctly you said you recently moved from CA to TX. Your garage and collection in CA was mind-blowing......you shared some new purchases with us and I can only imagine where things are now.
My apologies if I'm out of line. Had a few Crown and Cokes this evening..

Google has a large Austin office. But importantly, my team is distributed around the world, and the Central time zone is two hours closer to Europe than is CA so it works very well for me.Are you no longer at google?
the food is off the charts
Any plans to get your hands on that Ferrari 499P Modificata? I'd have to image that that will be just about the fastest factory race car that you can buy short of a F1 car.
We got that call from Ferrari a few weeks ago, shortly before the unveiling. Four enthusiastic thumbs up was the instant response from me and ChristineAny plans to get your hands on that Ferrari 499P Modificata?
