The head tick happened on brand new cobra's just coming out of the show room floor. My car has it. Lots of people back in the day had it. and I am talking in 2003. JT on modularfords and other guys on there were running 11.20's 11.40's with basic bolt on's with the head tick. No hinder in performance. My car with the tick went 12.32 at 116mph with borla stingers and a steeda filter only. 1.97 60ft on stock F1 tires
It also happened to others with miles on them as well. I'm well aware of what it is. I personally wouldn't want to keep driving it with that annoying sound.

Got the Brakes back and I'm really happy with how they turned out. We used the factory paint code to paint match to the same red as the car. Now I have to find the time to get them on.

Those did come out great. Should look awesome when you get them installed. Cool that you paint-matched them.

This is the big debate in my head. Whether to go with a 2.3 Whipple or a ported blower setup. I am going to leave the cats on, i don't want to go return style fuel system.

I've owned a 1000+hp Twin Turbo street cobra, which was a great car, but ultimately problems pop up with that much power. I'm fortunate to have another faster toy around. I want some more speed without sacrificing reliability.

My initial gut reaction is a 2.3 whipple with stock throttle body with the 3.5 pulley running 15lbs of boost.

Keep all stock parts
Yup 2.3 Whipple will lastd,
Mine, 600HP, 106K miles till I reved it to 8000 RPM

Just out of curiosity, why did you rev it to 8000? Missed shift?
