Yellow Freight

Our new trailer refrigerator quit working and the dealer ordered a new one under warranty. It shipped from Oregon and made it as far as Denver. Now it’s sitting and not moving since yellow shut down. WTF. What will happen to stuff that was in shipment when they shut down?

Someone will break in to where everything is staged and get a new refrigerator.

Call the dealer. Maybe one from another trailer can be pulled?

Ford uses them and told us to file claims for anything we had in transit and re-order. Thankfully the only recent thing we had from them was a windshield that came in shattered a couple weeks ago like most Ford windshields arrive.

Time to reorder. The government is going to send blm to break in to all their terminals and redistribute the wealth.

It will be tied up in bankruptcy nonsense.

Keystone messaged me after I posted the problem on Facebook. They reordered on a different freight. Great customer service. The dealer was trying but when yellow freight shut down it had them stumped

Great that the delivery issue was resolved quickly. Many in similar circumstances are likely not so fortunate. My buddy (laid off from Yellow after they filed for bankruptcy) and I were just talking about these delivery issues just yesterday.

When Yellow filed BK, I was told by a close friend that worked there that they had 12,000+ shipments in the system not yet delivered.

Insane.

And Yellow is apparently offering the titles on some of their tractors to pay some debts with some customers.
LTL freight is going to get much more expensive. It's going to be like when it was all regulated by the government, but it will be by de facto and the drivers will not see it. I'd imagine now they are going to make sure a nice chunk of the money comes back their way in DC.

You may wind up with a 2nd one if it was already reordered. The girl ordered some of those giant home depot Halloween decorations in july (yea.... I know.) And home depot used Yellow. One had no movement for 32 days then randomly showed up in Massachusetts from California through another shipper.

Wow. The second one is moving right along
