I am a sales manager at a fairly large car dealership. One of my fellow sales managers got reprimanded my the manufacture because we had a incident where a couple of females (maybe they were not female after all?) walked in together and the sales manager greeted them saying "hello ladies, welcolme, how may I help you today?". Apparently that was not the appropriate greeting to use.

They left without buying a car and called the manufacture saying they were offended by the greeting of the sales manager, and that he should asked them "what pronoun do you prefer?" And then address them accordingly.

Pretty crazy stuff.

Thoughts?

They were just in the wrong building. The “ladies” were looking for something more geared towards their lifestyle. Like this.

So ridiculous, probably better off they walked out anyway.

That’s why now it’s just “good morning how can I help?”

@ an age where my filters are usually set wrong or turned off, but I have complete faith in my eyesight.
I let my eyes decide what pronouns to use,.............they can deal with it.
Also, have been accused of having no people skills,............more than once !!
