From SEMA:

Spy Shot Ford

Sources have spotted a prototype for the upcoming Ford Expedition testing in Metro Detroit.

Wrapped in body-hugging camo in most places--except for the front and rear ends--the prototype rides on a road-going tire-and-wheel combo. Also spotted is a new front fascia, potentially with a new hood and a new rear fascia, complete with a new rear hatch.

Does she have the Limited?

Yes. Her current one is the Stealth Performance Package, comes with the 3.5L High-output like the Raptor. Her 2023 will be normal Limited, she wanted light interior this go around haha

expedition is getting outsold 3:1 vs the GM suburban/tahoe/yukon. They need to do something radically different

So, 1 model is getting outsold by 3 models 3:1... you don't say

expedition and expedition maxx are bundled together in the sales figures. Suburban and tahoe are listed separately.. Either way you slice it GM is pounding ford hard on full size SUV sales.

GM offers a 6.2L v8 and the baby duramax which gets like 30mpg on the highway. Expedition only offers 3.5 eco which everyone has figured out by now its guzzles gas the same or worst as a big v8. Plus they have AT4/Zr1 models for the camping/off road crowd and the Denali/High country for the luxury experience.

Not surprising, I think the Tahoe/ Yukon is a better looking SUV.

Although, my wife is a teacher at a private school, I would say it's nearly 50/50 Tahoe/Suburban to Expedition, which surprises me.

Where are you getting your sales numbers from? Directly from Ford I can only see my regions registration comparisons. Expedition/MAX are within 18 sales of Yukon, Suburban and Tahoe numbers in the KC Region.

Ford has the Timberline version...in my opinion, a weak off road attempt.

The Stealth Performance is stout though, with the Raptor engine.

If I were buying a large SUV and wasn't biased towards a brand, I'd be getting an Escalade 600.

I saw an article on ford authority. Suburban/tahoe combined is 156k units sold vs only 62k for the expedition/maxx.

navigator only sold 13k vs 40k for the escalade

The grand wagoneer is likely going to pass the navi this year as well in sales. Hard to diggest why they sell so poorly, as they are very nice. Just can't seem to get the formula right.

Lincoln took the stance years ago to sell to 55+ people. That's killed them.
