Transmission Squeaking

My transmission has been making a loud squeaking noise, as soon as you push in the clutch even a little though it goes away. I figured it was bearing related so I went ahead and did a whole new Spec clutch kit with all new bearings, flywheel, disk, pressure plate. It's all finished and working as it should but the sqeaking is still there and it goes away when the clutch pedal is pushed even a little. Has anyone else had this problem before? I don't know what this could be at this point.

i've done a few tob jobs where it would still make noise. it'd usually would go away after a while after playing with the adjustment (you do have a firewall adjuster, right?)

in my experience the tob is a wear item so as long as you just put a new one in there, run it.

If your tranny is squeaking you can always try lubing it with bud light.if that doesnt work its probably just going through a E(girl?) phase.

Jokes aside. I second the firewall adjuster. Might have slight tension causing a rub on the throw out bearing
Thanks for the laugh lol. I guess I'll try that next then, hope you guys are right. I have noticed some times I can let the clutch pedal out in a way and the sqeaking will be very quiet or even silent but it just instantly comes back the next time I have to use the clutch. Cobra ownership has been very frustrating but I don't want to give up on this car, eventhough I should.

No, I have not put a firewall adjuster in it and I don't believe it has one.

ya, i'd definitely thrown in a quadrant and adjuster. Go watch the Promotion Powertrain video on youtube on proper adjustment.

TOBs can be bad out of the box sadly, improper adjustment can kill one in a hurry as well. If you're lucky a proper adjustment may keep it quiet. If you do pull it again, make sure to look at the condition of the input shaft and TOB retainer sleeve as they can be worn and damage the TOB.

My pilot bearing had exploded. I thought that was the noise I had been hearing and it just finally gave out. The whole time I've had the car I thought that I was still on the stock clutch, but found out that someone had put Spec everything in there before and I'm pretty sure I don't have a firewall adjuster (I'll have to double check) so who knows how long the car has been driven around on a Spec kit without the proper adjustment. I did go watch some videos on adjusting it and in the videos before they adjusted it, it was making this high pitched chirp noise and that's exactly what my car had starting doing but it progressed into a constant screech.

Yep, I've had clutches that don't fit the input shaft. Makes you want to punch babies.
Yup lol. This is how my new clutch for the GT500 came in

Have you pulled up on clutch pedal to adjust cable ..

Was the cable replaced? If yes was cable lubed before install.

I've done the tob many times

Last time in 1 did replace quadrant with a single hook.
Used a heavy duty cable and modified the end at fork for adjustment,
No fire wall adjustment.

For me I only pushed fork against pressure plate and adjusted cable tight ,50k later still working fine

No I haven't tried pulling up on the pedal. It's still on same cable as well.
