Hey guys, like title says, I'm going to revive my car. Car has been sitting for about 5 years and it's time to get it on the road again. What would be on your list of must do to get the car running again? I'm thinking oil change, fuel system flush, new tires, battery....etc. Life happens and the car lost priority, but excited to get back on the road. It's an upper only ZY, 75k miles. Thanks guys!

You pretty much got it. I'd do all the fluids just to start fresh. Maybe new plugs for good measure.

Drain and refill both coolant systems. Wouldn't hurt to take the injectors out and get them ultrasonic cleaned. Jumper the fuel pumps from the trunk and pump out the old fuel. Then replace the filter.

Thanks for the input guys! I'll try and post some pictures tonight. If i purchased my own ultrasonic cleaner, would that work? Something like this?

If i was going to have injectors cleaned Id pay to have em cleaned and flow tested just to be sure they're performing properly

You'd also need a way to cycle them while they're being cleaned.

I vaguely remember hearing about someone that was good and cheap. Jason Barr? Or something like that. He was really popular on Yellow Bullet when I was looking at getting a set of injectors cleaned.

Bob Steigemeier used to have an injector cleaning service. Maybe he still does.

Thanks for posting the photos that I asked for. I also gave up on you. LOL. But seriously, talk to me about the race car next to your Cobra. I like what I'm seeing. What series do you race in? Are you working on it, too, or is it parked until the season starts.

I picked the car up after last season, racing Street Stock at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe Wa. 3/8 mile circle track. (i know, its a chevy!) I need to get the cobra out of my garage so i can start working on that car. Kids also race quarter midgets and our seasons are FAST approaching!
