My buddy flew regional jets, Embraer and Bombardiers for years as captain before moving to 737...but he's back in the right seat/first officer.
Nice. I've been a captain for a year now. With the panic over coronavirus 19, the industry has taken quite a hit. I count myself lucky to be working. I'd like to move up to the big leagues, but I'm really happy living in Boise and flying a newer airframe. I've ridden up front in the 737 and it looks old fashioned compared to the E-175, but I'd make the jump for the pay increase in an instant.

He had a sweet regional gig too with American. He was living in St. Martin and flying into Miami I believe and or doing the hops to some other islands...

Wife's dad is an A&P for one of the legacy airlines. First time he took me into the hanger we poked around in a 319 and then went to a 37 afterwards. I commented "how damn old is this plane?" He laughed and said it's newer than the airbus we were just in.

I greatly prefer airbuses for narrow bodies.
