Time to swap a 4G63 in that thing.

Not sure why Ford never tried to... Again, capitalize on their history with a modern SVO edition S550.

Nice video. I owned 3 Mustang SVO's back in the day. 2 Red ones like in the video a 1986 and 1985.5 plus a white 1986 Comp Prep SVO. Great cars and loved them all.

I cannot believe they found one that mint.

I have always wanted an SVO if I were to get a collection going. Now, with the new 2.3 DOHC, it would be a great time to find a decent shape one and put a new 2.3 in with a bigger turbo and 6 speed. I am guessing the new 2.3 would weigh less than original engine as well.

Ford engineering has become kids basically right out of college. They aren't car guys, they are techies. The only reason Shelby is still around is because it is marketable.

The new generation doesn't know or respect the Fox era.

I had an '85 4E Hertz SVO for a couple years, fun little car but finding some of those model-specific parts were a major pain.

I remember the SVO back in the day. One nice Mustang all around IMO. The light weight made it a competitive track car. Actually, an SVO (especially one in great condition as in the LMR video) in a car collection would be awesome. Goose? ;)
