I'd start with reading thru these two sites, they will address most of your questions and concerns. Post the link the car you're looking at, people would be happy to give you their thoughts on it.

Thanks guys.
I’m looking at buying an 04 coupe from a guy and just want some opinions.

He’s the original owner and the car is in near perfect condition, besides the engine looking pretty dirty/dusty(no big deal).
Car has been garage kept its whole life, and he has all paperwork since 04, along with maintenance records.
It’s also 100% stock, but my only gripe is it has about 110,000 miles. I plan I’m keeping it stock as well as a Sunday driver.

Whats your thoughts?

A paper trail is always good. Original owner is awesome. If it was properly maintained and taken care of I wouldnt stress the mileage too much.

Have it looked over by a shop. A compression check is highly recommended.

If the price is good and it checks out mechanically...snag it up!

Any pictures of it?

well maintained 110k isn't a huge number if the price is right. If you need any further peace of mind do a compression test.

What I've learned over the years, the lower the owner number the more the car was cared for. Lol.

Obviously not always true, but if that guy had the car for 15 years he probably genuinely cares for the car.

I'm local, if you need any help or want someone to look at it, feel free to ask. Compression checks are insanely easy to do on these cars and I wouldn't buy one without doing it.

my first question to him would be how in the hell was he able to drive it 100% stock for 110k miles.

but yes, being an original owner myself, i can say that it is a very good thing because he'll be able to tell you the entire history of the car and there shouldn't be any big surprises other than the normal wear and tear for a high mileage car.

and as mentioned it would be a good idea to learn as much as possible so you know what you are looking at when you check it out. for example, he could say that it has never been pulley'd but maybe it was for a while and he put it back to stock (very common with these cars).

caveat emptor and good luck! they are very fun cars

Great deal

Mine was a daily and racked 420
And it’s still running

And also left alone with just exhaust mods until just recently added a 4 lb lower. Being the stock caged pulley is not made new

Enjoy
