XLT STANDARD features now include Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and Emergency stop Assist. Base price of the XLT trim is now almost $43k (F250) and $45k (F350)... and thats NOT including the engine upgrades, or the Tremor package....

I realize they add all that crap to make it sound better but like you said Sid, I can imagine literally nobody wants those options. Hell I don't even care about power seats or carpet flooring. A nice radio and power windows and I'm good for a truck.

Yeah, I want none of that.
Im with you on this 1000%. Tremor package looks cool but I have zero desire for BLIS, LKA and Emergency "stop" brake to be standard on my truck. All features that are expensive to fix and probably have questionable long term support. I firmly believe that all these "driver aids" are simply an indication of a distracted driving culture that society has decided is normal.

I think the XL and STX packages will be VERY popular. Im at least happy Ford didnt make it standard on all Super Duty models. Then again i think there are plenty of buyers that couldnt care less or actually want these features.

The lane keep assist never worked from day one on my buddies 2019 F150, scary to think some people rely on that garbage. I hate what vehicles are becoming.

It didn't work for me to get a price but damn I built a dream truck.

CC 6 1/2 bed, King ranch, blue jean, tremor, 3.55s with locking rear diff, and some of the extra foofy shit like the electric floor boards and rear heated seats.

I don't even want to know what it costs lol.

This is the problem with new commercial aircraft, good airmanship, hands on flying is becoming less and less important as pilots rely on automation built into modern aircraft...when shit hits the fan for these guys they are often found lacking in the proficiency to get out of it and the results are catastrophic.

Automation is slowly ruining the world. Eventually there will be no point in humans at all. I blame the automatic transmission :D
