So GT500 is no longer the top Tier Mustang Cobra, but a one-off "because we can" car?
No the GT500 is the top Mustang not a one off. They are limiting how many are made. Just like the Demon
The Demon is more like the Cobra R, and no one got upset about those. We all knew it was destined to be limited from inception.
Really The Demon is just a built HellCat. Many changes but the base is the same. The 2000 Cobra R had different engine then any other mustang at the time(not a built base). I compare the Cobra R to the 429 Boss way more then a Demon

The Demon is a built HellCaT like the GT500 is a built GT350/GT Nothing more nothing less.

Same here, I have heard the Bronco wont actually dissapoint but maaaan am I skeptical of that
I would be (more like my fiance would be) happy if it at least met the capability of the Rubicon. Convertible top and removable doors are a feature that's important to her, and I see no point in getting a vehicle that needs to have a front locker added after the sale.

Maybe we'll find out one of these years

The best value in sports cars bar non.

$60k, 495hp v8, MR layout, excellent interior, roof comes off, excellent storage space, spark plugs and oil are cheap, brakes won’t be astronomical, tires will Be par for the course.

Likely to get north of 20mpg combined.

Likely to have a very high top speed because the nose is small.

It’s not perfect, but for $60k, there’s nothing giving that much bang and practicality for the buck
60k is a ****ing bargain.

not gonna lie it looks titties. Especially in ORANGE. any speculation on 1/4 mile?

I’m guessing 11.0-11.25@121-123

It’s up “40hp” but dct is mega, mr for traction is mega, etc

The 0-60 is .7 faster already assuming the best I’ve seen for an a8 test at 3.6 0-60 for a stingray

It's not anti-consumer. Ford is selling an exclusive product to an exclusive market, which by definition makes those in the "exclusive market" consumers too. Just because they're not selling it for $20k it's all of the sudden anti-consumer?

It honestly just sounds like absent minded complaining because "it's not fair." Yeah, not everyone is going to get a GT500, that's kind of the point, and has always been the point.

Shelby built 2048 GT500s in 1967 and only 1175 GT350s.

the 1967 Shelby's were only limited by Shelby's ability to manufacture them. That's why in 1968 production moved to Ford's plant in New Jersey.

Ford built 1657 GT350s and 2793 GT500s in 1968.

They built as many as they could make and as many as they could sell (which was everything they could make)

According to Google, Ford sold 472,000 mustangs in 1968 (which honestly seems way too high, but I see that number a few places), so that makes the 2793 GT500s sold less than .6% of sales. I see where you're going with this, but still seems pretty "Exclusive" to me.

That number may reflect sales of 1967 models still on the lots or some other form of inflation. There was a total of 317,404 mustangs produced for the 1968 model year.

please don't put an LS in a Ford Ranger....
Whats your better idea? Has to stay 5speed/4x4. Ill wait :D

Im totally with you when it comes to mutt swaps in cars but for this truck I need a veeery tightly packaged motor due to the cross bracing and shock hoops. If the tranny options for the 2.0 or 2.3EB becomes a thing id probably go that route. Its not a priority build period so theres time
