Those of you who painted/powdered the Xbrace - mine had the liability waiver type of warning sticker on the front, with a clear decal covering the rear of the upper mounting ears on the backside. I jmagine this was to stop from the paint rubbing off the lackage tray area? But if its volted down it shouldn't have any movement at all. Did anyone reace that film?

As Tob knows, I love to procrastinate on many projects. I took the difficult route in getting ahold of the Recaros, and almost missed out on getting myself a FRPP Rear Seat Delete. Luckily I had a contact who sold me one out of his personal Boss 302. Lightly used but in great shape. I ordered up some fresh hardware and upper plastic trim, and had the brace painted to match the Tungsten Grey:

My only gripes are with my own interior panels. The lower quarter trim is missing a plastic retainer clip on each side, I vaguely remember losing those when I tore the rear apart for the Shelby Kicker audio upgrade. I might look into replacing the panels, but the car is typically pretty rattle free. I need to put some miles on it to see how it sounds now that I moved everything around again.

My only real concern is that the piece of those clips is floating around inside the body somewhere, and I can likely never get it out. Oh well.

The other gripe was my upper trim piece, the passenger side didn't want to sit as flush against the quarter window as the driver side. All clips are intact there, if it continues to bother me I might redo it later. My GPS and SiriusXM satellite antennas are in that back corner, if I decide to remove them that might be my chance. There isn't much point having that gear in the car with smart phone audio streaming and navigation these days.

One other item of concern is the holes left behind by the lower seatbelts and what I believe was the seat back bracket. I did see daylight in a few holes that were later filled with the rear seat delete hardware. I might go back and add some silicone or maybe even duct tape just to keep the weather out:

The carpet is a bit lighter than the rest of the interior, but with the seats pushed back in place it is very hard to notice. Overall I love the look, as the OEM rear seats no longer matched the custom Recaro skins I had installed. With the new seats everything looks much more aggressive. Only items left inside is a steering wheel upgrade and shifter boot to match.

I contacted Ford Performance and they said their supplier for this kit closed their doors. They said they are looking at sourcing a new supplier.

Apparently you just need to make some mount plates for a SN95.

However, after seeing the $1,200 price tag.... I could have any fab shop make something and powder coat it for under $350 all day long....

Howdy. New member who just bought a 2012 Boss 302 LS with 400 miles. I searched the whole internet trying to figure out about installing a satellite radio on this car. And where to put the antenna. I looked for something showing how to take out or lift up the pieces in the back where the seat would go so I could route an antenna back under the package shelf where I think it will work (without putting the ugly antenna on the roof or trunk). So, my question to those of you who have done this rear seat delete kit mod. How do I get the connectors that tack down the big piece in the back off? Sorry for being such a newbie, but I don't want to mess anything up. The top two connectors are simple turn and pull out connectors, the bottom two look like something that was pushed in. Can you remove those without breaking them? Thanks for any help.

Jegs sells them as well for $1100. Sounds ridiculous, but a factory looking fit and finish will cost you. When you put in a $160 piece from American Muscle, it looks like $160. If your doing it strictly for weight savings, then go at it, who cares how it looks. I have been thinking about pulling the trigger on the Ford performance one, but have yet to do so. I want it for the look of it since I like taking my car to meets and shows. I have the cheap one from AM in my car now.

Pricey, but yah that is pretty awesome... Nice that's it's completely bolt in... I was thinking that would have welded first time I seen it.
