Relatives not included.

I have 3 buddies that I see at least at least once a year (we get together to watch the Daytona 500). We've been friends for 42 years. We met in high school despite the fact that we came from rival schools (2 against 2). 3 of us graduated the same year and the oldest graduated 3 years before us. I was the only athlete but we're all gear heads.

What's yer story?

I have friends in their 70s and 80s who were fellow teachers when I started out in the biz. Still in touch with them and they helped my noobie ass a lot back in the day. I would do anything for them. Aside from that I still am in touch with friends I went to school with when I was a kid. To this day I trust them more than anyone else I know.

34 years. A guy and his cousin that I met in middle school. We became very close through high school and still talk, text, and see each other often. I'm close with all of their family too.

My closest friend who lives outside of Philly and I talk to him daily is 41 years a friend. I see him as often as we can get together. Another friend who grew up a few houses away from my childhood home is still a close friend and is looking in the same area to live that I am retiring to. Been friends for 46 years.

46 years. The guy with the stogy in back. This was taken at his house. He still had the '67 GTO he bought in '73 when he died two months ago. The guy in front of him is gone, too.

Was my best friend of 20 years, but he accused me of something he shouldn't have so now Im glad to be rid of him as he showed himself to have become incredibly toxic. Never used to be that way either.

Call this weak or girly I don't give a ****. But childhood friends are the best and they are who you can trust the most....

Nothing weak, or childish about it IMHO. In fact, as I get older, I'm finding out how rare it is, and how lucky I am.

diabeetus

His blood sugar was 500 when they found him alone in the lake house he'd had since 1979.
