I’m thinking Ford is going to introduce some new technology and this is the platform they will use. But I don’t think Ford will use this platform to introduce some new technology. The car will be over 4000lbs so I’m out. But I’m a buyer because of the technology that puts the car over 4000lbs. It seems Ford engineers were lazy with this car. Ford engineers have probably worked tirelessly to ensure it’s an amazing car and I applaud thier efforts ;)

Maybe some of this tech has been adapted from the GT? if they are implemented this could be a game changer again.

This is very exciting but I have a feeling there are some negatives that are always in the mix like weight and price......

The z06 out did the GT at VIR different day etc etc but it’d be fun to day dream. I’ll be happy if it out paces a zl1-1le at the track and a demon from 50Mph+. Launch is slicks and skinnies away from hitting a 1.5 60ft from what I can assume. Demon does 1.35 in perfect conditions iirc. I’ve seen a lot of demons crack off 1.4x 60fts.

If it can out handle the Z06 at the track and beat the Demon on a highway roll, I'm in! Everything we know so far makes it seems possible.

The real question is when will Ford catch up to the Koeniggsegg Regera and one:1 with a $50k Mustang gt. They are more than 2 full seconds off those cars pace in the 1/4 mile which is totally unacceptable. I don’t care that those cars are $2m. Ford sells 100,000 mustangs and that Swedish company sell 100 cars so ford makes 2.5 times the money at check out (msrp goes straight to ford, promise) to make it happen since there’s no cost in making cars (ever! It’s a lie, the cars just materialize from an ion canon. Promise), it’s all just straight profit. The GT mustangs don’t have active aero either or a blower so they should only weigh 2750lbs. (So my Porsche can toe it too)

Oh my bad, I had a gtpremi moment

No, you had an I-need-to-be-on-the-corny-bandwagon-moment.

HahaHa. Well that’s a very good point my friend. Can I bring a raptor for when the Porsche get us high centered or stuck?

(I’d say buy the Porsche! It’s great)

Corn. It eats like caviar and smells like candy. Gotta love it

It did not. The driver of the Ford GT did one lap, was told not to use up the tires, and was taking selfies during the run.

Then GM takes their vette running as many laps as possible with any tune for the sole purpose of beating the GT. The only question was why they did not do this when ACR held the record?

I still say the ACR is faster than the z06!

Can you imagine how hard it will be to locate parts for a restoration 40 years from now? I thought it was a major pain when I was looking for an AM-8 track radio for a 70 Cuda I was restoring.
Since I will be ash in an urn by that time, I am all in if I am able to find one without an ADM.

That might just be the best car news I have heard all day. Thank you. This gives me lots of happiness.

I honestly think it’ll be like pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Fractal dimensional states mandate that matter is omnipresent, and 3D printers don’t need much to work today, let alone 50 years from now.

Plus it was the ZR1 in question, not the z06.

Why do people care so much about weight? If it works it works... I agree that I miss the bare bones days but that'll never happen again
