Totally understand where you're coming from. There are really multiple reasons why a person might sell their current big power Mustang to move on to something a bit more unique/desirable/usable. Not everyone wants to hold on to a muscle car for 5+ years. Tastes change. Needs change. Technology changes. Finances change.

Keep us posted on your '94 GT project. I wish you the best with it.

I love it, can't wait to see what you do with this. I still want to do a "90's" era build and shoot for the 10's. Too bad you can't use the word Turbo without people backing down, to me nothing will ever beat the 90's when turbos where taboo and the foxes that had them were looked down upon and they always hauled ass. Too bad there was so many shady companies back then that buying a kit usually meant lots of money lost, 8 months to get the kit or a combo of both. Right now my fox is a blank canvas, no drivetrain at all. I've got an 02 GT that I was going to swap everything into(maybe do the 6 speed instead of the 5 though) and see if I could get 11's in a heavy street car on motor and 10's with some sort of power adder but I want it fully optioned(ac, stereo, big brakes etc) and then sometimes I want to do an all out build that the only purpose is to haul ass. I still think modular is the way to go when making "big" 650+ street car that will live. Decisions decisions, I think I just want to restore it as nice as possible and make it a high 10/low 11 car and just enjoy it. I know it won't hold a candle to most of the new stuff but I just love my fox, it'll never leave me no matter what. Unless I die in it, lol.

Whatever makes you happy is all that matters but your logic is silly. Spend the money to make your badass car feasible or just start over on something that will end up taking more money. Lol. Good luck with that.

I don't have the money for a new mustang or time to buy, sell, buy, sell, etc. start modding over again, go through the same process. I bought my 03 cobra back in july of 2003. I have had it for 13 years. My car still retains a lot of the ford factory parts. stock suspension, stock rear, stock transmission, stock motor, stock half shafts, full interior, I still have all my emission stuff on the car and 13 years later after making pass after pass on the dyno, street racing or just having fun, that little motor is still purring and quiet as can be. It makes over 700rwhp. Not the newest car, fastest car, but its tastefully modded and Its a riot to drive. I have seen people go over board with there cars and next thing you know it, its on the market. its not enjoyable anymore. This is just my opinion. To each there own.

jimmy vaccaro told me becareful of the slippery slope. Im keeping my car and not selling it. I am not going to mod the cobra anymore. It stays like this. If I ever get a better job, I am going to pick up a fox body mustang. since I don't need to pass emissions with a fox in new york, I am going to go all out. Big cubic motor, auto, twin turbo, etc. That will be the car I will use to do damage on the street.

op, I can't wait to see wht you build. Keep us posted. Older car like that, I would go all out and build something retarted.

Cool thread. Alot of junkyard 6.0 F bomb folks in my area and they despise anything ford, they hate them. I can't even deal with most of those kids anymore. I couldn't imagine the heavy hitters with egos and big money involved.

I went overboard about 20 years ago with a Fox. Built motor, Solid Roller, NOS, Etc.. I hated driving it. From the fuel pump noise to the cam to having no brakes due to low vacuum, it just got old.

Once you realize you can just build a fun car, keep it nice and just enjoy it. Everything is much easier. If you try to be the fastest out there, you will loose. Every time!

And who cares about being the fastest? I could give a shit less about someone else being faster. I don't race a class. It usually comes down to who has the biggest check book. And then you find people spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars to pump their own ego because they were picked on as a kid.

I like to build cars and figure them out and learn from it. Making a car optimal for what it has is more fun to me. Everyone has their own idea of the perfect car. The first time they actually have it then they are like "Now What?". And sell it for pennies on the dollar.

Just build something you can take pride in and enjoy it for what it is. I can appreciate any quality build. No matter what brand it is. There will always be haters.

In the end it's just people spending money they don't have, on cars they barely drive, to impress people they don't know!

Don't be that guy.
