It's effectively the same thing. If you want to import a non-EU built car, like a Ford Mustang, you have to pay Import Duty of 10% and then VAT (Sales Tax) of 20%.

Tank picked up Tuesday and on my doorstep Friday. Cost was £140 to ship (inc Ins) and Import Duty of £168, next steps are to powder coat it and fit it in Feb 2020.

Good news is Glenn has another one ready for me on Friday. So not to work out shipping to the UK. UPS want $700, Fedex want about $300, and through a Parcel broker, I think I can get Fedex to do it for about $150.

Just an update , ordered and paid for the replacement tank Oct 14. Glenn indicated it may be a few weeks to build it etc. 6 weeks later, I have asked via email and phone call about the status. Perhaps Thanksgiving is slowing the response.

And now ordered , will be made in the next week or two and shipped directly to the UK. Will call next week to check progress. Thanks to all.
