AR Torque Thrusts are cool and all, but I wouldn’t put them on any Mustang newer than ‘68. I’ve never understood the dislike for ‘96-7 Cobra wheels…I was disappointed they didn’t offer them in ‘98 when I got my first Cobra.
Nice seats and Sportsters fit great in SN95s. For ‘94-8 you can also use Planted mounts with Recaro sliders (still avail from Recaro) and those fit great as well. Multiple options for good fit in SN95s.
Manufacturers like Borla and Stainless Works offer a lot of tips available separately. I do have some new/unused extras from catbacks and tips I’ve bought for projects I ended up not using. If interested in any of these Borla or Stainless Works tips, let me know as I’d sell at discount over...
Thanks, didn’t remember seeing that kit when I was brake shopping. Ended up just going with 13” FTBR rotors and factory calipers, but if I decide to change that would be nice kit to run with calipers machined and recoated to match the front Brembos. Parking brake not really needed for this car...
I don’t know…it’s nice seeing Cobra calipers with the original grey finish and logos still bright with machine marks and all. Call me nerdy, but for a low mile car I’d give value to clean, original calipers.
If I had an otherwise clean SN95 Saleen though, I’d pay up for original Saleen Alcons.
NOS may not be a bad route, even at that price if you want mint…you can sell the LH. Or just buy straight original and have it completely stripped and repainted.
I doubt you’ll find a mint, original-paint black fender. And like I’ve communicated, mine may have been mint when I removed it from...
I haven’t forgotten about you wanting clean black fender. Still reserving mine for you once it’s done being used to tweak mold for my car. Sorry, still don’t have it back yet though.
Very nice, and love the period wheels. 3pc HREs look as nice now as they did 20 years ago.
Ideally wanted a set of HREs on my ‘98 when I got it in 2001 when I was 18, but settled on BBS RKs when they were plentiful and much cheaper. Still have those on the car today. But HREs were the ultimate!
Here’s a pic showing 3.5” Borla tips on the catbacks that used to be available for ‘96-7 and ‘98 (on car), 3.5” tips on new ‘94-5 14445 catbacks with embossed Borla logo, and 3” “machine gun” style tips unique to Saleens (rest of catback identical to original ‘96-7/‘98 systems except for some...
ProXS mufflers are used in the 14445 catback, the closest Borla system you’ll find that’s currently offered for ‘96-8 Cobras.
Borla used to offer catbacks specifically for ‘96-7 and ‘98 Mustangs with either ProXS style mufflers or XR-1 mufflers, but not anymore.
Oh wow, just noticed all the central IL towns…I’m also from Lincoln and grew up on Illini Drive! Down in TX now though.
Yea 5x4.5 is the standard 5-lug pattern used in all Mustangs from the get go. But in case you weren’t aware ‘70 Boss 302s generally had the special “space saver” spare with...
