Man, I'm a dumbass. One of the spark plug wires popped out.
Plugs were 0.26 and I regapped them at 0.28....was this a good idea? It's running good now. Thanks again for all the help.
Well this is embarrassing. One of the spark plug wires popped out.
I bought this car built like this & now I know what those 2 plastic covers over the spark plug wires are mostly for; to keep some pressure down to prevent them from popping out. Maybe it's these wire caps that have that...
What should my gap be. I bought this car built already. It's 20 lb pulley on the V1, 4.10 gears. I recently changed the plugs. Can't remember what I gapped it at.
I'm going to check all of that. Thank you very much.
Getting a fuel smell after a hard run vs. a new Civic.
It runs pretty normal off of boost. Getting on it, it falls flat on its face, backfires & heavy gas smell. Getting worse.
Injectors & fuel lines, no moisture. Changed gas cap. No boost leak that I can tell. V1 whistling normal at idle &...
Ok, so it's not boost leak. Everything is tight. New gas cap.
Runs like crap now. Getting on it just a 1/2 way, the gas smell is much stronger & backfiring...with hardly any power.
It runs pretty normal off of boost. Can still hear the V1 whistling like normal at idle & low RPM but fluttering...
Getting a fuel smell after a hard run vs. a new Civic Type-R or whatever. (it was only "hard" because I lost traction in 3rd when the road curved a little, which scared the hell out of me).
I can feel the power not all being there now and I'm afraid to get into boost too often. Fuel injectors...
Yeah thanks. I recently saw that on Youtube. I'm going to try it out by just taping it there.
I wonder if this will make the factory alarm inoperable though...because isn't putting the key in and turning ignition is what keeps the alarm from going off when the door is opened? (I never had a...
Thanks, I'm trying to not pay that much. Those blank keys with chips are like 2 for $25 on Amazon and probably the same thing.
I know that if you lose all keys, then the programming is more tedious as they need to plug into the car's obdii port. But cloning a key w/chip, I think they just cut...
1997 Cobra with a chipped key. To clone it, a locksmith quoted me $179. Don't even want to know what the Dealer wants.
I'm wondering why so much? It's not programming anything since I already have a working key. A key guy in the middle of a mall wanted $60, like 10 years ago and I didn't do it...
