Great thread which I had found it sooner as I ran into the same issues as you. We did notch out the washer on the fuel rail bolt basically like a D so it would fit. But no where in the video of the install does VMP mention the brass bolt and they send you enough allen head bolts for everywhere...

Been out of a stang myself for a bit. Finally just got back into a 2011 gt500 and I am loving it. Looking forward to a few more small mods and getting out to the track.
Ok I need as much advice us I can get. I went to the track yesterday and was not to happy with the results.

SCT tune from american muscle.
Mac pro chamber h pipe
Ford racing alum drive shaft.
Tires are 245.45 .17...
