YouTube- Porsche 911 GT2 vs R35 GTR H2H:poke::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Some of the most hideous cars to work on; VW and Audi!:cuss: Guess what? both of those makes are German!:fart:

Quadcammer, I like your brick drive way, but I do not like the Porsche. The interior looks like something out of the 80's. I will say this though, You will have fun with that super tail happy oversteering Porsche at a open track event.

Even though the brand new Porsche's look a lot better than the older models, count me out. Give me a 2000 R or a 2010 GT500 in Kona blue.:rolling:

Out of the 100,000 or so members on this forum, your the only one batting 1000 on retarded posts. Congrats

Lots of hate up in here. Nice car, and it's refreshing to see something besides a Cobra every once in a while. I bet it's a blast to drive.

I agree.

I find it depressing that people come in these threads and even mention the word Mustang over a Porsche, it's degrading. I understand it's a Ford biased site, but leave the hate at the door on threads like this.

Nobody cares what you would rather have with OP's money.

Thanks guys. Just read that Porsche has over 28,000 racing victories. pretty wild.

Mike, I'm doing well. Graduated in September, and I'm going to start seriously looking for a new job after the bonus gets paid out.

How you been?

id take a 996 turbo over any, ANY mustang. almos 911TT is pretty sick and i too get tired of looking at '03 cobras all day. i know this is SVTP but a little variety never hurt anyone.

apples to oranges in that video. they should have compared the GTR to the 911 turbo, to which the GTR was made to compete against. they show the GTR just hugging the corners with its awd while the GT3 is getting sideways. had they used a 911 turbo it would have gripped just as well as the GTR :rollseyes

of course, the 911 turbo costs twice as much as the GTR but im not sure this was a price comparo because the GT3 costs $30k+ more itself. a standard 911 is more in the price range of a GTR, which would probably get murdered by it on a track.

and the OP has a 911 turbo which i believe is awd back then as well. which means it would grip really well through the turns, although it has less hp.

no matter what car you buy, someone can always say "well this car can do THIS better". there is no "perfect" car. and good Lord put a 2010 GT500 up against a GT3 on a road course and see what happens (bone stock for stock).

go on to autotrader or craigslist and look at porsche 911 turbos. good resale value. the older Turbo 911s are just as sought after as the new ones (not so much for the non-turbo cars). and if its not going to be a DD but a weekend toy, and he has the money, then no worry about the cost or pita-ness to repair/maintain.

i drove around in a near stock 911 carrera rwd for a few weeks. absolutely fell in love with the car. like no other car ive driven before. just hard to explain. and yes, the rear end is tail happy but that's a concern moreso for the track and i can only imagine that the awd turbo cars really compensate for that. if i had Treynor kind of money, id defintely have a 911 turbo in my stable. possibly even over a ferrari or lambo. and it would be sitting right next to my whippled GT500 which id certainly have as well

Thanks Barry. Hope all is well with you.

I may have to stop by the NE forum to show some people what abrasive means.

Stunning! No one makes a handsome 'all business' interior like Porsche...

Any plans to do track events with the car?

Please post some pics of your porsche:rockon:. One of the sickest porsches I have ever seen. I dont know if you remember but you had it at a dyno day down near the NSA. I forget the shop name.

To Op: Love it man, nice ride

Sure, I remember that dyno day. I remember the thing being down more than running, so I didnt stick around long.
