Every nitrous manufacturer is different and every dyno is different. Regardless of what the dyno says a bolt on 150 shot Z06 will trap 135mph+ all day long.

A local in 97 degree heat 78% humidity trapped 137mph pushing 625whp in a Z06 1st time spraying at the track. Bolt ons, cam, and a 125 shot.

The big benefit of juice is instant TQ.

Very well said. I'm so sick of these A$$ clowns bringing up MRSP. That's so F'N juvenile and hypocritical because if the had the money to buy anything other than a Mustang, they would regardless of $$...

Ummmm.. not true, if you have the ability to buy a $50,000 mustang you most likely have the ability to buy a $75,000 vette. My last three cars were, a 2006 Blue C6Z06, a 2006 Red/Silver Stripe Dodge Viper Coupe, and 2007 H2 SUT. I bought my "MUSTANG", because in my last two sports cars I did not have a back seat! It was real annoying never having room to bring more than my girl.

I'll disagree with you on that 25K is 25k.

Damn, that Z rolled out. I'm gonna have my hands full this fall once my buddy starts modding his and gets his driving down.

i didnt read the whole thread so someone may have asked but shouldnt your buddy be makin over 590rwhp. with a intake and a tune they can make 485rwhp easily and a 150 shot on that. i would expect at least 620rwhp

its a low reading dynojet. he made 465 with a intake/tune, and 434 bone stock. its the dyno that reads low because mine was dyno'd their at the same time and made 434 too. also he has the ZEX kit, which is known not to gain the 150 to the wheels the 150 shot would do for you. for example, 2 years ago, my car with a only a 100 shot made 598rwhp, but on a different dynojet with the NOS kit. i knew i was making that power, because i was heads up with another buddies C6Z with a 150 shot!! he only had an intake with 4 degrees pulled on the stock tune

How big a shot can the Z handle? Anyone running a 200+

Actually it has a very good chance of beating the Z06 from a dig like real drag racers race from. He just raced the Z's race. I doubt he will do that again.

Z's won't race at the drag strip. They know they will get slaughtered.

The stock block is about maxed with a 150 shot of NOS. Any higher... you'll see flying Z pistons. There is a reason why the ZR1 didn't use the Z06 motor...

its all in the tune, but i wouldn't pass a 200. for that just get a heads/cam and a 150 shot.

now their was a bolt-on Z06 in miami running a 300 shot, but only last 10 months with a good tune, and race gas

You did not hear wrong, I also had a 2001 Magnetic Red C5 Coupe (Automatic), a 2003 Sliver ZO6 and a 2006 Z51 Coupe. I was not impressed with my Z51 with the vararam, I could never even get that car into the 12s and it was an automatic. That's what I was talking to Joel about.

I have had many vettes, they are fun cars, the GT500 is just a different type of car.

You can see flying pistons with a whole lot less than that. It's not as clear as you make it seem either. Many shops used sleeved LS7 blocks on 800whp builds some even more, but many take the stance, why take the risk? Just throw a LSX in there instead.

They have had LS7's run 8's on bone stock blocks with just upgraded pistons, 9's@146 bone stock rotating assembly, and at the same time they have had H/C cars crap a piston too.

It's no 5.4L ford I'll tell you that much.

I would say that that DynoJet is not a low reading one, it seems to be pretty spot on. Frank uses the same dyno I have used for the past 3 years. STP Motorsports in Plantation.

not by you, judging from your performance mods you are probably running low 13's/high 12's. talk about being slaughtered :poke:

Had my car for 5 months. -150 lbs+, Full Suspension, and 3.4 Whipple goes on in a month. You want a slaughter... I hand you one when I'm done. I just don't toss on a bunch of power... I mod the suspension first, weight loss, and then toss on crazy power. I'm on power mods next.

GT500's run low 12's stock with only a bit of a traction fix. Your a funny man. I can torch a stock Z06 at the track with my current mods and I havn't even really put any HP mods on yet.

I love how a 70k car can be on SUCH AN OFFENSIVE over a 40k car made to haul 4 people.

C6Z's have runs 10 bone stock, whose laughing now?

you might scratch the 3.4 whipple and go with a set of twins, it's your only shot at beating a c6z with h/c/nitrous.

Most C6Z at the track here run 12's. Sure there are some freaks than may get a 10 if the planets align right. There are also GT500's running stock superchargers running 10's. Its all about the setup. Not just power. Whippled GT500 with proper setups can run low 9's. The most extreme GT500 running TT's runs 7's.

I can make anything run a 10. I can make a Ford Focus run a 10 with 70 grand. Fact of the matter is .. its THOUSANDS cheaper to run 10's with GT500 than a C6 Z06.

the one used was the one at speed and truck west which was spot on because a buddy of mine dyno under 500 in his cobra than on one dynojet in west palm.
