dont waste your time on nittos get the bfgs i know from experiance. nittos run narrow and are a harder compound(do not hook for crap) the bfg 295/35/18 is wider than the 305 nitto

actually i take that back nittos will hook with a burnout but if you dont do a burnout then they wont hook, the bfgs will hook a little better for street use and once you heat the bfgs they get sticky

Venom is right. BFG's will hook better on the street with no burnout but not much better than nitto's. Nittos get sticky with a good 6-10sec burnout. I have 305/35ZR18 nitto drag radials on a 10" rim and they ALMOST hook up in first gear. I'm pushing 475rwhp and 496rwtq. If i had to do it all over again i would go with BFG.

Good luck

yeah nitto drag radials run narrow compare to others while Bfg run wider than others my 295/35/18 bfg are a tad(1/4inch) wider than the 305/35/18 nittos i used to have BTW this is on a 18x10 wheel. I would go with bfg they are a little cheaper and hook way better

It depends if your car will be seeing the track a lot or not. If you are going to be racing a lot and drive it on the street not as much get the BFG drags. But if you drive your car on the street a lot and you still go to the track sometimes then i would get the nitto drags.

Im so confused now on what im going to do. I was also going to go with the Nittos in this same size but now im looking at the BFG's. I have heard pretty good things about the Nittos, and they say that they won't kill me if its raining outside. Everyone keeps saying the Nittos are narrow but on their website it says they are 12.4 inches, is this considered narrow? Can we get some more input and pics on this?

well i used to have 305 nittos then i sold them, i bought some 295 bfgs and they are a tad wider about .25 inch. Bfg has the widest running drag radials and the nitto street tires run the same as every one elses sizes but their drags are narrower. Hope that helps but if its going to be your daily driver get nittos because bfgs are bad in the rain especialy because of the bald center

if im looking at it from the back are the nittos going to still look nice and wide in your opinion?

oops i said "from the back" lol

yes its not noticable by the eye really only when you take out the measuring tape also as long as you run the nitto on a 10 or 10.5 you will be fine the 295 bfg is only about 1/4 inch wider if even that but are so much stickier

I have just purchased some Mickey Thompson E/T Streets 305/35/18's. I hear that these are the best drag radials you can buy. I hope they are. I cant wait to get them mounted.

Nitto does run smaller in size, just like shoes. Like venom1997 said, the 295 BFGs are just slightly wider by a .25", which really isn't much at all. The Nittos are a great tire when they are heated up and what's nice about them is they last pretty long for a drag radial.

they will work good for you man for the street and once they get heat in them they will hook decent but bfg and m/t are a lot softer compound and will hook the best
