So nevermind the ones that are beaking bone stock?

Also, it wouldn't have been a big deal that a modified car broke, but you made such a big deal about "well we did this and that and ours didn't break, so there..."

As far as the AWD vs RWD thing, I love how so many people with AWD cars brag about their awesome "launch" capabilities, and yet so many of them will only go from a roll because they are worried about breaking parts, lol.

So 100 launches until it's time for a $20-$25k trans replacement. That's only $250 a launch! That's a bargain, guys! I don't know why you all are bitching...

12k to replace.

Companies already have upgraded gears for the GTR.

wasnt there a problem with the launch control on these cars. My friend was saying that Nissan knew thee was a problem but doesn't cover because they say " Oh well you beat on the car. warranty doesn't include improper use of the car and any time it has been abused."

Well i thought thats what it was built for...you don't buy a super car like that for it just to break. You know theres going to be people that test the cars' limits why not build a car with that in mind:bash:

You say that like it's okay. T-56 transmissions that don't cost anywhere NEAR $12K to replace and can damn-near withstand a nuclear assault. I don't get your point.

Are you seriously trying to compare a rear mounted 6 speed dual clutch semi-automatic transmission in conjunction with the ATTESA E-TS system to that of a T-56 ? This is the first time a production car has used this type of setup. We are not talking about a traditional 6 speed here. The point is, the power is only going to two wheels and not all for. Therefore limiting the damages brought upon by awd

Well, if the T-56 will last longer at high power levels than yes, I am comparing the two. It's pretty pathetic that a standard T-56 can outlast a "rear mounted 6 speed dual clutch semi-automatic transmission in conjunction with the ATTESA E-TS system."

And all that means shit when it can't handle launching a stock car.

Post up the source that it's $12K for a replacement transmission, every other source says $20K. 25psi full of shit again? No way. :lol1:

The cost to repair the tranny is $20,000 and Nissan won't cover it under warranty since the GT-R owner's manual states that damage to the transmission is not covered if it is proven to be the result of using Launch Control with the VDC turned off.

I've talked to the Owner of Baker Jackson Nissan. They had two White ones I was considering, but couldn't make them budge on the price. Two of my friends are mechanics there.

So no source? Sorry, but half of what you post is bullshit, I won't take your word for it. :lol1: I'll take the word of the people who had to pay $20,000 to replace their transmissions, I don't think they would lie about paying too much. I know a certain ricer on this forum who would lie to make it sound not as bad though.

Shelby Mustang GT500 Nelson Whitlock - Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine

Modded GT500 with STOCK 6 Speed running in the 10's. At that time it had well over 100 hard launches. Now that car runs 8's
