it dorsnt matter if he has or hsnt swapped an eaton.

I havent either yet. I do hower ever have my facts straight. and power per dollar the ported eaton swap wins every time, for someone not wanting to run more than 10psi. Yes turbos make more power, and yes screw type pd blower do aswell but not for the price you pay for them.

For those who ask or even think "well if the eaton swap is so awsome why dont more people do it" and the simple answer is, some people have more money than brains who are to lazy to get off the computer and gather the parts needed. who I might add would rather order a complete kit for 2x the price. so before anyone quotes me on this ask yourself. "AM I LAZY WITH MORE MONEY THAN BRAINS"?

for all you f***ing idiots that drive a car their parents bought and pretend they know about every setup and how it will perform:

Engine:
STOCK 1999 Cobra longblock
Eaton supercharger setup @ 8psi
Stiegemeier Stage IV ported blower, stock tb and plenum/elbow
JLT RAI

Tuneing: 11.2 A/F, 16° timing, 93 pump

ran a best of [email protected] w/ a 1.80 60'. has trapped a high of 119.2mph.

and it would have made more power had they revved it to around 6800rpms.....

yes it is at 8 psi. wow, if you think 450 crank hp throws rods you've got a lot to learn. sure, it's not forged like the 03/04's. but the internals also aren't plastic. you should get out a little more, check out the New Edge forum. there's plenty of 450-500 rwhp 99/01's that'll make you think otherwise.....here's another with an almost identical setup to mine:

01 Venom's car.

Engine:
STOCK 2001 Cobra longblock
Eaton supercharger setup @ 8psi
Stiegemeier Stage IV ported blower, stock tb and plenum/elbow
BBK CAI

11.6 A/F, 18° timeing, 93 pump

Standard: 484.77 RWHP / 434.85 tq

SAE: 472.18 RWHP / 423.55 tq

and i not saying your wrong but thats a big chance i not taking plus most of those guys are return style fuel systems and i have done my home work to sean hyland specs, he been in the game along time and has laid down most of the after market parts for the mod motors and when he said he seen alot of powder rods break i belive him. buy his how to build a max performance 4.6 book and there a pic of a cobra block in there blown in half at only 400whp. i know there more than horse power that ties in to it like rod strech and AFR and what not but i dont like to chance money it short and when your paying for your own car and going to school its hard to blow 3k out your ass to push the main line some one found out before you know what i mean?

i go to school, work full time, and have paid for both of my cars and i never felt like i was blowing anything out my a$$....Sean Hyland may be knowledgeable, but his build quality has been questioned for some time now. believe what you want, but next time before you go ranting on how there's no way 8psi on a ported eaton will make over 450rwhp maybe you should think first. it's better to not comment at all on a subject you know nothing about. and since when was i talking about return fuel setups. none of the cars i talked about are return.

also, when you quote someone you can delete the picture code. saves from making the page so long....

Wow, since both of you are so knowledgeable about the swap, I assume both of you have completed and tuned 99 cobra's with eatons right?

No I actually don't own a 99 Cobra with an Eaton...unlike people in this thread I like to make power.

First you are talking about 450 crank hp and then you switch it over to 450-500rwhp. Figure out which you want to take to an argument and stick with it Jr. And no...a motor with powdered rods is NOT going to live up to 450-500rwhp long.

Maybe I need to mod my quote on the other page? Is there now 3 idiots in this thread?
