I daily mine.

Gas mileage....when I fill it up it says 596 till empty (I've tried hitting 600)
28 MPG on the interstate going 70-75
Fuel is probably cheaper here....but I increased my fuel expenditures by $35.00 in a month over a gas vehicle:sleep:

I just know that it WILL last longer than an F150 and it cost me about an extra $10k for a diesel over a eco boost or 5.0L F150

I also take into account safety. "The other driver" is getting worse, not better.
So you have to ask yourself, what's your life worth when you get on the road?
My wife and I should be fine in my big stock, F250 should something happen.

Had @SID297 never posted his F350 up for sale, I wouldn't have gotten the urge to spend money. Glad I did though
Thx for all the info brother! When it come to trucks.....I know nothing!! Gonna have to educate myself here quickly.

That's a really nice F250 dude. I'm thinking that's me and the route that best fits my needs!

You can haul with an F150. You can haul with a Dodge Durango too.
I wanted to future proof in a few aspects.

1. I will probably never max out the capabilities
* my utility trailer and 42" zero turn hold on for dear life with this truck

2. Let the world go EV, truckers and big rigs won't anytime soon, so there will be diesel.
3. How long before the EPA says no private consumer can purchase a diesel truck anymore?

Even though you work for Ford, I would reach out to @13COBRA and let him work you a deal for sure on a '2023

6.7 diesel right. How is the gas mileage on it? Diesel is the way to go for power/torque right? Like for towing heavy things around?

I would look closely at the new 7.3 gasser. I'm in a 14 6.7 diesel and the operating costs on a diesel are stupid expensive from oil changes to fuel filter changes. And if anything fails out of warranty you are looking at thousands to repair. The 7.3 typically gets within a few mpg of the diesel and unless you pull weekly or over 15,000 lbs it is hard to justify a diesel. The motor along is $10K at purchase, higher maintenance, higher fuel, def, etc. There are very few scenarios you can make a diesel work on paper.

Thanks @tomshep for all the info! Those are some very valid points I need to consider. This will be a daily driver and not something I will use to hull daily. Im going look into the 7.3 as mentioned for another option to consider. Thank You!!

This is a build im considering, what do you guys think. Im also thinking about holding out for 2024 model???? Negative feedback/Recommendations welcome @1Kona_Venom or anyone else!!

My oil changes are $150.00..including DEF top off
Fuel filters, every 20K, $105.00
Fuel Additive, 30 day supply, $65.00

91 Octane: $3.24/gal Diesel: $3.33/gal

The 7.3 does not come anywhere near the 6.7 on fuel mileage
And on the 7.3,....your stopping every 4th gas station to fill back up

Look on this forum, and there are owners with the "new gasser", getting 12-14 mpg, unloaded, wondering where the advertised #'s are.

And the extra $10k for the diesel, adds weight to the front end which imo, makes the truck ride smoother. I even had money left over to throw in the FX package.

In the end, everyone can buy and drive what they want:cool:.

Anyone got some new 13/14 GT500 pics to share. Sorry for the hijack

Used diesel trucks will always sell for more than gassers and last longer. The last gas F350 I drove (17-18) sounded like it was gonna chunk a rod through the hood while pulling an empty gooseneck, and we stopped three times for gas on a 4hr round trip.

This bitch will pull whatever I put behind it with ease…

Get the current $hitheads out of Office and certain POS Congressman out the EV charge will simmer.

Here's a cute stat you won't hear on the News: 1 Active Volcano in 1 week will emit more toxic gasses in the atmosphere and Ozone layer than ALL COMBINED CARS in the United States will for 1 year.

Where's the outrage for these Volcanos.

Waiting on a new ring/pinion and UCA for the ‘14 but the garage is packed and never enough time.
I’ll have some nice ‘14 pics here before driving season ends. It’s my favorite street ride when all is well.
Thanks for reposting the S1000 video also. Still can’t believe I didn’t put a deposit on one when I was at Shelby in 2013. I sat in a Kona blue ‘12 S1000 if I remember. I’ll look for the pic.
