I like it here. The area is growing like crazy though so naturally traffic is getting pretty wild.

I found a local doctor because the 17 mile drive varies between 45 to 90 minutes each way. The last steaw was waiting 3 hours to see the doc, late. Then having to leave his office at peak traffic.

My new doc is 5 minutes away. Never knew the guy existed until glancing past the ACE hardware store I shop at and right next to it was his office.

I actually like the thunderstorms. I go outside by the pool under the gazebo and watch them during the day. My wife not so much.

I live near a golf course and I can hear the lightning siren go off just before they start up.

You’ve got to respect them though. They’ll kill you if you’re not careful.

You’ve got to respect them though. They’ll kill you if you’re not careful.

kinda cool you get notice from the golf course, been so long since I played didn't know they did that. I dunno if they did it everywhere but I know there were courses banning metal golf spikes because people wearing them were getting hit by lightning strikes and plastic spike guys weren't.

I've seen a few strikes too close for comfort, I like watching/listening from inside though. The rain on the aluminum porch roof is great too

Last Memorial Day T storm pops up. We’re all at the pool for a cookout swimming etc. I’m in the hot tub with some friends and people start getting out which is the smart thing to do.

I end up staying in with one other person and a bolt hits behind a house about 300 yards away and it’s so close the lightning and thunder are simultaneous.

I never moved so fast in my life while my buddy stays in and says the hot tub is so small what are the chances?

Get rid of Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville we would be blessed with about 250 blacks. A lot of the blacks here are Obama or half blacks. Must be some advantage to identify as black since you rarely hear them identify as American or say they are racially blended.

Lutz is supposed to be descent, but was years ago. I haven't been up that way in 25 years though, except to by on 75.
The Tampa guys would know better.

My kids did a swim clinic in LOL and we stayed at an airbnb in Lutz. Like all things Florida Tampa is encroaching on those smaller towns. Traffic sucked on week days but weekend was smooth. Lots of fishing for us swamp hoppers.
