Like no one saw this coming from the Terminator 2 movie?

Microsoft Bing Chatbot wants to engineer deadly virus and steal nuclear codes.

What more do they need? Pull the plug on ALL AI and pull it now. Then ban in, illegalize it and put a life time prison sentence with no possibility of parole for anyone toying with it, experimenting or trying to develop it. It CANNOT be controlled, harnessed or corralled.

^^^ A self aware program doesn’t have to be a terminator either, that’s scifi hollywood… if this shit gets off an isolated network on to the internet, game ****ing over. The havoc AI could cause is unimaginable.

It was like 2017 when Facebook pit two AI against each other and end up creating their own language we can't understand. We still also can't really grasp how deep learning works.

Need to pull back on this but that'd need to be a global union that no one will cheat. Good luck.

Glad people are talking about it mainstream now. Not as scarey/sexy as nukes so it's kind of ignored but IMHO scarey as hell.

Doesn't even need to be self aware.

What did HAL 9000 say to Dave?

HAL : I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that. Dave Bowman : What's the problem? HAL : I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do

I recall Elon Musk saying how dangerous AI was and that’s a fella that champions emerging tech etc…. AI is the pandora that cannot be put back in the box, shit needs to be halted immediately.
Imagine if your Brain was the internet.....

youd hate us too.

I’m okay with semi-futurist sex dolls having AI. They’ll have to be ones that just lie there holding still (like my wife) with no access to movement, but manifest speech.

I dare AI to say something more hurtful than my wife does while I’m trying to plow away.

"Why the future doesn't need us"

An epic and bleak read written by Bill Joy (Futurist and Chief Scientist at Sun Microsystems) on our coming world once AI + robotics mature.
