@Bdubbs I’m adding LED accent lighting to my shop. I still have more to do but I highly recommend the ambiance of them if you hang out in yours like I do mine.

Oh boy that looks awesome! I definitely need to look into this. I hang out at mine often.

I currently have the cobra seats in the fox. These are replacing those.

Just got back totally stoked about these!

@QX1 yeah I'll have to price these out. The foam and skins are new. Definitely firm, will take some break in time.

That's a score. I was pricing out to do the same thing (but grey centers) to a donor set of 87-89 GT seats. The seat foam alone (recommended with the new covers) is almost $500, and then the covers are $1300 (but comes with back seat material as well). So yeah...you scored.

I wanted to do these because I feel my Recaros are too fragile and way too much bolstering for cruising around, and my 99-04 GT seats sit way too high. I may do that cobra style covering, or standard black Tweed for the OE look

Let us know how seating position is as i'm curious if it's a lower seat height than the SN95 seats.

I saw this unicorn being offloaded from a car hauler today. Very few of these were made…. If it is legit, which I think it is.

I dunno. It's just one pic, but I don't think it's legit. Those are the 1990+ lower valence stripes I believe, and I think there were less than 15 coupes built after 1990. It's missing the front graphic, the rear spoiler, wheels ($$$) and the back valence color looks off.

But I wasn't there and it's a long-distance pic, so I have no idea.

When I first started reading your response I thought you were saying the Ranger or my 93 wasn’t legit lol. It looks to have the racecraft suspension decal on the lower front fender which is good attention to detail if it’s a fugazi.

Oops sorry, thought i quoted the Saleen pic too.

Yeah, i have no idea based on that one pic. For such a rare car, it's missing a few questionable things which raises my eyebrow but you are right about the racecraft decal. I guess i was just assuming a car that's maybe 1 of less than 30 or so total Saleen coupes would have been cared for better, but i could be wrong I guess. But i wish i could check it out closer.

It was being unloaded on the side of a 4 lane road, opposite the lane of travel I was in. I was quick enough to snag that photo as I passed. I think back in the day those cars weren’t thought of as much as holy grails as today. It was close to my house so maybe I’ll see it rolling around or at a car show in the spring.

Is that price you figured for fronts only? I figured it was a pretty good deal. Kinda wish it had grey inserts to match, but oh well.

Bought 2 replacement handles. Never done those before, hoping it’s not horrible. @Bdubbs
When I got my Saleen a few years ago the shipper broke the driver side door handle, because as we all know, they'll break if you don't use the correct technique.

Ordered a replacement from LMR, they're fine but they stick way out off of the car. They almost look ridiculous.

Luckily I was able to source an OEM handle from a guy off Facebook. I'd definitely try the new flush mount ones from LMR if you can't find factory replacements.

As far as how difficult it is to change, it's just tedious. Taking the inside door panel off and not breaking the plastic clip is the worst part. You don't need to use the factory pop rivets as you can just use bolts.

Oh man, I’m nervous now to see how these door handles are gonna look. I’ll see if I can find a photo, one minute.

The kit comes with the rear seat covers, so i priced out to do the fronts and cover the rear seats. I'd have to supply the donor front and rear seats, and do the labor myself. $1800 in materials not including replacing some of the plastic trim. In fact, i was going to swap to SN95 seat hardware so that was another $200 or so for tilt levers and trim. So at $2K and doing the labor myself...you can see why i haven't committed. I didn't even pay that much for my Recaro's all in which i posted pics of a few pages ago.

For $800, if those were local to me I would have been down there in a second to snag those.

If you want the matching rear seat, you can ask TMI if they will sell a rear seat cover only to put on a donor fox seat. I remember asking them if they would do a fox seat with 99-04GT material for me, and while they said yes i never went as far to get a quote. My current rear seat is one with a Corbeau vinyl seat cover on.

I would eventually like a matching rear seat. I do have a 03/04 Cobra rear seat, but not sure how well that would match my recaros or my proposed recovered 87-89 GT seats.

Seats is the one part of my car's interior i have not been satisfied with in many years. I just can't make up my mind what I want

EDIT:

Here's the kit new, not including foam
