Sad part is, regardless of innocence or guilt, the old country boy is gonna have years of legal problems ahead of him. He may win in the end but its the process that's gonna sting.

Wouldn't it be self defense being the offender was the guy on the floor? He laid hands on him the second he slapped the phone out of the older gentleman's hand. That's assault. He just reacted in self defense.

doesnt mean he's not gonna have go through a bunch of shit to prove it. Remember the burden of proof in civil court is lot different than criminal court. Hopefully him smacking his head like that didn't cause any serious/permanent injury.

You are correct, it will be a hassle & a half regardless. I don't blame the guy. At least he only reflexed once & didn't keep on hitting him like many others would have. Still just deserved.
