Congrats on the upgrade.
Curious, I thought everyone raved about the MGW solving the shift issues in these cars ??
I've had the car since 2013 and I think atleast my car (build late 2012) had 2nd gear lock out issues that are easy to fix... IF you tear into the transmission. The MGW, blow fish, torque arms,WOT box etc all are not fixes. Not even close. Maybe late 13 or 24 cars are fixed with the MGW...mine

Ben Calimer can fix a 6060 but Id rather sell the 6060 to recoup some of the money. Direct shifter is definitely a huge bonus
True, I've heard good things about Calimer, but his TR6060 builds aren't cheap. Plus everyone that swaps to the T56 loves it.

Yep, just not financially worth it. The T56 XL comes with SFI bellhousing, i get a much lighter and arguably stronger driveshaft and if I wanted, I could've gone with a more aggressive 1st gear. Those are huge perks.

I've actually been thinking about changing my driveshaft to a aluminum one in my GT500. Not sure if it's worth the swap.

If you drag raced and launch hard, id recommend it with a DS loop. If you half mile race like I do with no hard launches, id keep what you got. OEM is a nice unit for most setups

Good to know, my car is just going to be a 1/2 mile car, I have zero interest in drag racing lol.

Worse case throw a loop on it to pass inspection... even though CF explodes when it breaks.
I already bought a bmr loop to put on when the engine goes back in, the first half mile event is in late October.

All buttoned up! Big thanks to Alex Martinez of Certified Transmission here in Tampa!

Steering column cleared. DS loop doesnt fit because my custom h-pipe I had made with ground clearance in mind, hits the loop so ill have to take the loop to a fab shop to modify it to fit around the h pipe.
