I’m looking for a recommended replacement headlight bulb (9007) that can safely increase the output of oem headlight housings. Must be plug in play and not require any modification.

There are a lot of bulbs on the market and I’ve struggled to locate specific brand/part number/ for lights that will work on our cars (and be of high quality).

I have a set of Morimoto XB fogs coming this week that I’ll be pairing these with.

Please note that I’m not interested in replacing the housings, going with a projector or anything of the sort. I understand why people suggest going that route so there is no need to go into that dialog here.

No experience with our cars, but I run a set of LED's in my F150 from Headlight Experts LED and HID Headlight Conversion Kits and OEM Ballasts and they are fantastic. Very bright, no modifications needed.

They have a little fan on them to keep them cool, it is a little loud, I can hear them with the windows down at stop lights ect. They made my radio come in with a little static, so I ordered some ferrites off ebay and clamped them onto the wires and that fixed the radio issue. I would highly recommend them.

I put Sea Light brand LEDs in from amazon, they seem to match nicely with those fogs. I got the ones that didn't require a fan.

I have auxbeam f-16 off of Amazon they work well with the stock housing just had to file the tabs on the ring that holds them in down a little bit. They are way brighter than halogen bulbs not even comparable

Did you all have to modify the large headlight ring to accommodate the larger fan/bulb?

no, the sea light bulbs partially come apart to fit the locking trim ring then the heat sync sticks out the back of it

I ran the Morimoto 2 stroke LEDs in both fogs and head lamps with no issues or mods. They were an improvement but not as great as I hoped so I retrofitted. I would encourage using them. Built in circuit protection and their rdt&e cuts no corners.

Any issues with radio interference, and do they work with DRL's?

i haven’t put them in anything with DRLs yet. No interference issues.

Only issue so far is in the 2005 f350 now when you turn on the fog lights it’s turning the high beams on. Going to email them but seems to be a common issue. Isolating the ground wire at the head light know seems to be a fix as well

Thanks Jerry.

seems like a lot of them will send you a free decoder if anything weird happens. I also I’ve seen people mention you can use forscan to tell it you have the factory LEDs but none of that applies to me so didn’t dig in too far
