ZR2 or Tremor. I was not happy with my TRD Taco.
Check engine light. I asked to run diagnostic at 10k miles after 5 months of ownership. They said it would cost $200.What was turnoff? Quality and reliability are off the hook but they are underpowered and slow. Anything else?
ive got my eye on a Pro-4x Frontier.
ZR2 with the v6 IMO. That baby duramax is a great mill, but waaaaay down on horsepower.
Also I guess they have problems in the cold which will be a no go for mw since it is cold as balls where I am at 6 months out of the year.
I forgot my other "money no option" choice.
Gladiator Mojave! Bad ass rig. Advanced suspension similar to ZR2 and Raptor. (as in, built for high speed desert running) Dana 44 axles front and back bone stock.
Im not 100% on the way the Gladiator looks, but that Mojave package is sweet.
Even the new ones? That's a good point. But that rings true for any diesel i suppose.

I don't agree with the mainstream toyota= quality stuff. I believe Toyota just has a classic cult following and engines that last due to being an anemic ancient turd. I was looking into trucks not too long ago, comparing the Toyota and the Canyon/Colorado and almost every single 2-3 year old Taco had faded headlights with moisture in the lens and fading paint amongst still battling rusty frames. What was turnoff? Quality and reliability are off the hook but they are underpowered and slow. Anything else?
