Am I seeing the exhaust manifold ripped away from the left cylinder bank? Anyway, I wonder what the driver looks like after such a crash.

You probably dont want to know.

A good friend of mine had a scrap book of auto accidents he responded to as a firefighter/paramedic. I found it just sitting next to his desk and thumbed through a few pages...dear lord, I wish I had not. The human body is very fragile to say the least.

He kept it as it he stated it was "therapeutic" in some manner, helps with post traumatic stuff.

Worst one was a late 90's corvette that hit a huge metal power pole...everything exploded from the impact, including the driver.

I know it happens everywhere, but it seemed last week was a bad week for car accidents around me. Quite a few semi/dumptruck accidents with cars that were fatal.

True, my oldest is a paramedic here and tells some of the stories. Some involving kids make you want to cry. Not sure how the hell these guys do what they do, but I'm glad they do.

Paramedics are SEVERELY under paid, IMO. The see and do some rough shit.
He does well. Nurse degree, marine opps, dive certified, trains newbies, fireman and a lieutenant. Been doing it since he was 18, almost 36 now. The one story always has stuck in my head, I won’t tell it. Along with the gun shot suicidal crap that they deal with.

Paramedics jobs are normally stepping stone jobs. You use it for the knowledge and experience. I think they are paid just fine in Ca.

not at my post...
Paramedics and EMTs are two different positions with different pay. Paramedics have more training and education I believe.

bingo... my uncle started a ambulance service after retiring from law enforcement , my cousins run it now...big difference between the two jobs

Correct, basically doctors/RN’s in the field as first responders. Most are highly trained. I know my son can talk one on one with the doctor around the corner and understand what each other say. All Greek to me what they say. lol
