Look I’m here to race the car this forum is about. The conditions of the race are set by me. Demon vs GT500. Roll race (dig I would destroy it). 30-120 highway pull. $500 to winner. Location anywhere within an hour of NYC.

I’d prefer the drivers to wear fancy slippers to class up this gentleman’s affair. Grey Poupon in glove boxes would be a nice touch too.

Look I just look forward to lining the demon up to a GT500 at 30mph and gunning it. What I love is the cars will give us the answer. Both are great cars. My money is on the Demon pulling 1-2 car lengths by say 120.

I'm racing 840 son. Dodge ADVERTISED and MARKETED the DEMON as 840bhp. Wanna bitch out? Scared? Who's making excuses. Demon was ENGINEERED to be 840. The GT500 was engineered 760.

I have so much fun in the Demon and do plenty of RUNS in the car. Are you living on my shoulder? Do I need a track to experience the thrill of 840 horses? Nope. I'm doing just fine.

Fact is we'll all be watching other people race the gt500 vs demon probably next spring. One guy did say he'd bring his up your way to do a highway pull, dont remember who that was though.

Why whp I see a gt500 putting 710-720whp down. I’ve seen race gas genome put 760-770whp down.

Launch will be all demon, no question in my mind. Think of it like this though...

Demon 0-60 under 2 seconds on race-gas, slicks, seats pulled, etc. runs 9.65@140

Gt500 mid 3 0-60. Runs 10’s.

So the gt500 is over a second slower 0-60 which is largely conducted in 60ft, about 40mph of it, and I’m guessing around a 1.8 in perfect conditions. It still good for 10’s and they’ve said not a 10.9

So it’s 1.25-1.5 slower to 60, and less than 1.25s slower through the quarter

It’s heavy at a little under 3400lbs and 815whp on pump gas. It makes a lowly 698wtq... so much fail. By kaneda math I’m slower than 800wtq cars weighing 3400lbs but I’ve beaten em.

Power is nothing if it can’t hook. I can launch like an na car and very quickly hit triple digit speed even granny shifting. Very little spin if any in 2nd and dead hooked in 3rd. Power shifting 1-2 I can rip em loose pretty bad but 2-3 powershift is fine.
