You guys are nothing but lame excuses. If you want to race a Demon, you're getting the full potential of my Demon.

If you want to race on PUMP gas, then go race a ****ing Red Eye.

I've never seen more excuses and backpedaling in my life. Every SINGLE MOMENT DODGE MARKETED THE DEMON IT WAS WITH RACE FUEL / 840 HORSES.

Jesus you guys don't get it.

Here'd DODGE's OFFICAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

Dodge//SRT Officially Unleashes the Demon: New 840-horsepower 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Customer Cars Begin Shipping to Dealers
Demon Accessories Designed to Build on the Exclusivity and Future Collectability of the Most Powerful Muscle Car Ever

And HERE IS FORD'S ANNOUNCEMENT

760 HORSEPOWER, 625 LB.-FT.: 2020 MUSTANG SHELBY GT500 BOASTS WORLD’S MOST POWER-DENSE SUPERCHARGED PRODUCTION V8 ENGINE
JUN 19, 2019 | DEARBORN, MICH.
DEARBORN, Mich., June 19, 2019 – Venomous strike: The all-new 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will produce 760 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful street-legal Ford ever – with the most power- and torque-dense supercharged production V8 engine in the world.

Enough said. HAHA...WE HOPE!

ENOUGH SAID MY ASS.

Look, I either race the Demon the way DODGE MADE it or i don't. I've never seen more wimps in my life. Ford got EVERYTHING they could out of the GT500. They knew what the Demon was when developing it, heck it's been out for 2 years. Ford could have had a 100 octane button that calibrated the engine for it, but they didn't. I'll even buy whoever I race 100 Octane fuel. How's that? Oh wait, not calibrated for it...hahaha.

Man I was just in the DEMON yesterday. Roll race shits are LIGHTENING FAST. GT500 won't be ahead.

And jesus, it shouldn't be. The demon was made to be the KING of straight line pull, 1/4 mile. It would SMOKE the GT500 from a dig. SMOKE IT. You'll see. And it should cause it's got damn drag radials stock.

I LOVE the GT500 and am thinking of getting one next year. F the ADM BS. But some of you really need to get into a Demon and realize just how god damn special it is. For 86K it is unreal.

So once again, are we racing each car's factory developed full potential or not? And when is this race happening? I'm ready ANY DAY.

Lol son...... mod power ftw!

Honestly, I've raced a few demons. I'd be upset paying that price for one for what they do on a regular basis. But that's just me. Just a big boat. Think the gt500 will deliver even tho.

Your pathetic and your already a ****in loser. I have never met an idiot who loves their car as much as you do. If you had the opportunity to make love to it, you probably would.

I see you run from the track bets and focus on the one thing you know your car can do well...drag strip or straight line performance.

I bet the most likely outcome on the track is a GT500 will castrate your Demon and so will a ZL1. Cars with less horsepower, but better suspensions. Start making bets on the open track times and that drug money you keep in your glove compartment would be gone.

Like I said before, your Demon is expected to beat the 2020 GT500 at the drag strip, straight line performance or from a roll. There is NO pressure on the new GT500 to beat your Demon at a drag race. However, gloaters, such as yourself, fall really hard......should the new GT500 tie or beat your Demon. You have already made your enemies on this forum, so you better make sure your Demon lives up to being the car no one in the world can beat.

Keep up your gloating

Then it should have no problem with an 3.5 Ecoboost...anxiously awaiting your excuses.

Dodge never delivered an 840 HP Demon to a dealer. All the Demons were 808 HP from the factory. The Demon Crate was an aftermarket kit sold by Dodge and was only available to the customer after they took delivery of the car. It had to be purchased by the customer and was delivered to the customer after the sale and was not an option when the car was ordered.

From the 2018 Demon Owners Manual Supplement.

"For the first time ever, Dodge offers a fully OEM developed bolt on drag strip performance package as an aftermarket option for your Dodge Challenger SRT Demon."

"This aftermarket kit is only available to new Challenger SRT Demon customers and can be purchased by calling the SRT Concierge line at 800-998-1110 . For your convenience, the aftermarket kit will be delivered to your home and supports your factory vehicle warranty when installed by an authorized dealer."

End of story.

Regardless, I give Dodge major credit for the crate kit. Ford will have an oil separator, a Borla exhaust, and some stickers in their aftermarket catalog - unless they actually got off their ass during development. After what little they offered for the GT350, I have my doubts.

+1

That fact that the pencil pushers and suits even let them think about doing that is almost unheard in these days of ultra PC Fortune 500 companies. They are basically doing what the OEM’s did back in the 60’s, with all their RPO/special order cars that were in no way officially sanctioned by the companies themselves.

Of course they had to jump through all kinds of legal hoops to actually sell the consumer these parts. They found a way to navigate through the mountains of red tape and virtually infinite gov’t regulations and got it done. BRAVO!!! Don’t bang on them because they technically couldn’t install it on the car to stay legally compliant, and give them some hope of defending themselves in the event someone wraps their car around a telephone pole. Give them some credit.

This is a similar argument that the Corvette dingleberry’s made when the Viper ACR-E was launched. Dodge couldn’t install the front splitter at the dealership and deliver to the buyer because is technically wasn’t legally compliant. God forbid should you hit a pedestrian and the splitter hits them first vs. the bumper. Therefore, any comparison between the two cars had to be made without the splitter installed.

What Dodge did do? They put it in the back for you to install the second you drove off the lot.

Cool and all, but calling a car stock after you swap a bunch of parts on that didn't come with the car is still BS.

A GT with a dealer installed FP Power Pack is not stock.

Are you sure the issue was that the splitter wasn't legally compliant or was it a ground clearance issue during transportation? How many Mustangs were delivered to the dealer with the splitter in the trunk, does that make it a compliant issue?

Was there a disclaimer in the manual or paper given to the owner about the front splitter advising that the splitter was not street legal and for off road use only?
Example: From the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Owners Manual Supplement
"Front splitter (track use only - see Warranty information for more details) The front splitter included in the Laguna Seca Package is intended for race track use only and is not legal for on-street driving. It may degrade crash performance and void the vehicle warranty. The front splitter must be installed by the customer."

As far as the Demon Crate, it was sold after the car was purchased by the buyer and was sold as an aftermarket part, there is no comparison to a factory option that was ordered and delivered with the car.

Cause it's underrated at 840 son. Putting more like 760whp down.

oh snap, like for real b? 760wheel is some fire bro, that be some real powers right there

Why it only trapping 140 though? I seen 700wheel civics almost hit 170 in the quarter

I bet it’s the torque Homes. Probably civic got like 500 more torques I bet

Demons click off 130-137 far more often than 137-140

That, as well as it stuck out past the front bumper, and thus would not pass pedestrian impact tests.

So you won’t run oem off the showroom floor. You won’t run aftermarket 100 oct tune that’s not in front of your apartment.
Basically you won’t run!

Ok, race me 100 octane vs 100 octane. 45-145.

He won’t run heads up. Only if he has the advantage, only on the street in front of his place.

Correct. However 100oct v 100oct would be a good race and one the demon should win. But he won’t run it, I wonder why?

I think a tuned gt500 on e85 or 100 octane will walk a demon from a roll by 1 car 60-160.

I think a stock gt500 on 91 octane vs a stock demon on 91 octane will walk it by 1 car 60-160.

The demon can launch when all is well, I’ve seen 1.3x 60ft times for them.
