Improved traction.
275's on the "narrow" older chargers.
305's IIRC on the widebody.
Right...but that hardly adds up to $6k.

6k for the ability to maybe utilize the power now thanks to wider wheels and tire.$6k for plastic flares? Same HP? What am I missing? I mean - it looks cool...but jeesh...
Your missing a lot apparently.$6k for plastic flares? Same HP? What am I missing? I mean - it looks cool...but jeesh...
I wonder what the purpose of it is...
I agree. IMO those added flares don't look good (or factory) at all. They look like add-ons. Cheap looking. I wish they had done a more proper wide body, at least for the rear. Like this (on a Challenger). A nice, full flare from the door back.$6k for plastic flares? Same HP? What am I missing? I mean - it looks cool...but jeesh...
I hope they then refurb the tooling and make some more. Let this bitch stick around for 30 years like the old Panther.Man they are going to keep milking that LX chassis until the tooling disintegrates.
yes but those cars didnt have 305s up front from the factory (or ever) nor did those shit boxes have 700+hp.Things that 10 years ago we used to call Rice lol

Here's a custom wide-body Charger.
Those both look awful. As I mentioned, the large slab sides don't lend themselves to being "wide body", pulling the whole fender out like that just makes it look bloated.
The fender arches are no more "tack on" looking then a New Edge mustang, which is a widebody SN95.

Were never going to get another car like this in today's culture.

I never saw Ford claim the New Edge as widebody. The fender arches are no more "tack on" looking then a New Edge mustang, which is a widebody SN95.

Doesn't mater what they claim, it is what it is however.I never saw Ford claim the New Edge as widebody.
One piece and designed like that from the start. To claim Dodge is legit with tacked on fender flares, because of the New Edge...is beyond stupid. They didn’t, but there is a bit of similarity in the look. The noticeable change in body line. Yes, new edge’s was all one piece, but the effect was the same... that flared look!
The SN95 and New Edge are not the same body. Why do I even have to point that out?Doesn't mater what they claim, it is what it is however.
A "widebody" LX is 3" wider then a narrow body.
New Edge is 1.5" wider then a SN95.
