not saying i have the specifics, ive seen all i need to see to make an educated guess. and from that, i feel the gt500 will be in front of the demon in that realworld scenario. confident enough for the other guys $500 bet

The time slip I posted is for a bone stock powertrain Demon on Mickey Thompson DRs. I have to check on the other 3 had different tires, but they were stock. No stock Demon has been over 140. All those you posted are modified Demons. I’m talking about 4 demons that went 140 with bone stock powertrains.

So.... not stock.

What was with the side to side at speed in that clip all about?
So you are the only one who picked up on that.
I’m assuming that’s from the Nitto DR at 180+?
If you’ve heard of ‘tire sway’ common on some Michelins, and on several cars but Corvettes come to mind, I think this is what you see on the video.
Some guys here in the GT500 forum had it too, running the wide version of the 305 Michelin Super Sport on stock 9.5” rears.
I only bring it up because I was always confused when guys talked about it here, but I bought rear 10.5” replica wheels for my Hellcat Charger and they came with ‘Ferrari spec’ wide version Pirelli 305/35/20.
As soon as I’d accelerate past 80mph it would have an uncontrollable, ass puckering sway. Cruise at 80+ no problem.
Swapped to 305/35/20 Nitto DRs and problem gone, same wheel. I’ve been over 170 on those completely smooth.

You think GT500 with m/t will hit either of those numbers?
No, not in stock configuration, unless they are lying about weight & hp, or allow a significant amount of control on the launch.

now, mod for mod, yes

You said you had them 10 min before.

I’m still waiting on your explanation on how two cars that run the same at the strip are not the same in the street....

Me. 100 octane is at the pump 5 miles from where I park my car.

And yet your still slower than my old 03 Mach 1....

Wait park your car? You don’t have a home?

I the new 500 will hit very low tens and upper thirties with good air and et streets if you want to drag. On the strip it should be slower by a tenth or two than the demon. Talking stock tune, added tires.
On the street it could be faster by a hair. And destroy it once turns arrive.

My thoughts anyway.

A new GT500?

I have a hard time believing the new car will trap 140 or run a 9.65.

However, on a 100 octane tune, I think it could in perfect conditions similar to the SINGLE Demon hero run achieved by the manufacturer.

Dodge next big thing ran its hero run last night...a few heads here will explode ;-)

I’m excited to hear!

While I badger the Demon about being somewhat of an under performer compared to what Dodge achieves, one simply cannot argue how bad ass the car is and what Dodge has achieved with its marketing business plan and general risk taking over the last several years.

LOVE IT!
