Why would I watch an inferior product with guys not good enough to make it to the NFL?

I like college football 10 times more than NFL. 1% at most of those guys will make it to the NFL and it is still a superior product to watch live or on the tube. These guys will be playing to be noticed, just like in college. If they have a breakout year in the AFL or XFL, then they could get a chance at the NFL again. To me, I think this will make for a great product if officiating and rules are sound.

Even the NFL had to start somewhere. Do any of you naysayers think it was a finished product to begin with?
I am all for a developmental league set up kind've like the NBA and MLB have.

College football is NOT surperior to the NFL in any way. More than 75% of the games are blowouts every week. The talent gap from school to school is just to big for it to be interesting week to week.

this and the AAF or whatever it is, I doubt either of them catches on.

I wish the Arena Football League hadn't tried to go so mainstream and destroyed itself.

Went to a shitload of Arena Football games when the Georgia Force was around.

It was great! These guys either weren't quite good enough to go pro, were on the cusp, or had crazy rap sheets and couldn't play in the NFL. These dudes give NO ****s. You see them get into legit fights every game. Throw each other over the barricades. Was fun shit.

Guess your family, friends, boss, wife or pets gave up on you the first COUPLE of times you failed at something? Don't worry, there is therapy available.

In my opinion it is superior because it is more enjoyable to watch. And this goes back about 15 years. Much longer the the Colin Kraperneck stuff. I watch NFL, but it just doesn't get me excited. And for that point, most of the NFL games this year have been blowouts.

when it was big here in the 90s/early 2000s it was like all the rednecks in town showed up to get shit faced at a football game. The crowd was as much fun as the game.

Lol, and the NFL doesn't routinely have trash teams that get mowed down weekly? Lions, Browns, Raiders, Broncos as of late, no shortage of blowouts in pro's either.

Yeah, thats totally comparable to creating a successful sports league.

Oh I agree, the NFL has been headed downhill for years, it started when former players sued them for the head trama stuff. Then the NFL started implementing all these safety rules and it's killing the game. All that said college is only fun/good around this time of year since evenly matched teams are playing each other.

Yes they do, at a far lower rate than college though.

And leave Detroit out of this lol
I bet he is a cowboy fan. Sounds like a cowboy fan.

He Hate Me.

Some of you youngins are too young to remember the last XFL season. You should youtube some games. The tender asses in the NFL wouldn't last a whole game.

No fair catch.
No roughing the QB.
A catch was a catch.
Bang all the cheer leaders you want.

Just a few of my favorite rules.

Hell yes

Don't forget no extra point kicks!

I don't recall, but did they have any drug testing? I don't really care, let's see some super humans wreck shop.
