This is for a b head car correct?

Hell they don’t even really make intercooler kits for PD blowers for c head cars. I can’t even buy a KB for my mach bc ford stopped making the lower intakes

The expense is gonna be higher due to an extremely limited market. I don’t think KB will lose a wink of sleep over this

What facts do you have on this?

Its an opinion. You don't like it then don't listen whatever. Low amount of 96-98 Cobras still on the road plus the availability of Centris and Turbos plus the better and readily available option to swap to C heads and run any number of the Terminator kits out. Make 0 sense to me but maybe some company will decide its economical... not holding my breath.

Knowing Department Of Boost if they make a manifold/intercooler (which is the core of the kit) it won't be a bare bones, just get by, minimum performance unit like everyone else pushes out. It will be a max effort design geared toward keeping IAT's stupid low. Department Of Boost is putting the best stuff out by a huge margin. No one gets close to their IAT's. If they do a manifold/intercooler, they will not only be able to make kits for non blower equipped 4.6L 4v's. They will be able to offer one shot one kill manifold/intercooler solutions to the Termi guys who are in desperate need of something that works. That just opened the potential market considerably.

Im going to need you to calm down. I just found it interesting how he said zero companies would be interested in building a kit. I found a company. Its called department of boost. Theyre looking into building this kit plus additional manifolds for the termi people so they can run DOB's cooling performance stuff, too. Jason is a stand up guy.

Fact.

Calm? I dunno was I coming off aggressive? I just don't see how they'd make money but maybe they would. I doubt it. If they do more power to them. Although you could probably buy some C heads and all the Eaton swap stuff and do that for the price of a new kit for B heads. Hell use 99/01 C heads, you can find those for $100 for a pair in the yards, I did many times from 99-02 Continentals.

Their Coyote kits start at $4800. Why would it be more expensive for a 4v 4.6?
Because we are talking about and i/c posi blower kit for a B head 4.6. Which means starting entirely from scratch on basically everything from a design point. C head guys atleast have the benefit of just being able to slap on a termi lower and run with it. On B heads, we are talking designing an entirely new manifold from the ground up, and doing so in a way that can fit an intercooler in a place that most people and other blower manufacturers have concluded one cant fit. Just look at what it costs most people to put a termi blower on these cars and you will start to get the picture. The B head cars were just not designed with this in mind at all. C head and Coyote cars were.

Actually it can fit as already proven few ppl DYI solutions, so reason is somewhere else

Well I would be very much intrested if they bring such kit for reasonable (5-6K?) price for B-headed cobras :)

its not that it doesnt fit its that most decided they couldn't fit the appropriate sized core to control temps beyond a certain boost level

I’d be interested depending on seeing what they came up with.
