I feel like CFA is getting more hit and miss, much like In n Out and other such specialty chains as time goes on.

Sometimes it hits the spot, others it misses the mark entirely. They just opened one a few blocks from our place and its drive-through only, and I've yet to have a good deluxe chic sammich from that specific one. The one by my work is usually on par though. I never thought their stuff was "amazeballs" like others, its just good and I'm a fan of their management and company policies/politics to boot. Whenever libs get butthurt about CFA in the news, we make it a point to eat there that week.

We have 2 CFA's at two nearby universities. These aren't full on restaurants though as far as I know. What I want to try is Carl's Jr. Those commercials could take a leather shoe and make it appealing. Am I wrong in thinking Hardee's is the same as CJ?

I think Hardees and Carl Jr. are one and the same. I see Hardee’s mostly in the east and Carl Jr out west. Dont know if that is their geography or not.

They are owned by the same company. I don't know if the food is the same though since there are no hardees out by me.

Based on the first page of Hardee's webpage, I am thinking both names sell the same goods or at least close to it. Out here we don't have a Carl's Jr but the commercials run 24-7 and I am seeing those $1.25 sliders advertised which are also on the Hardee's page. Hardee's are around out this way and I should take a gander in.

I dont know, my in n out visits have always been spot on, maybe its because I dont get the plain double double. I get a 3x1 (3 meat, 1 layer of cheese) animal style so it has grilled onions. Yea its good and had one today for lunch.
Sometimes get the animal style fries which is their fries with melted cheese, grilled onions and their thousand island dressing.

Coming from someone that has been in the restaurant business my whole life and now own my own restaurant, I think chik fil a is hands down one of the best fast food chains out there. They serve good, fresh food and that good of customer service is by far the best in the fast food industry. I’m not saying other franchises aren’t on par with them on the quality of the food, but the consistency and service puts them on top for me.

Now if you guys want real homestyle bone in fried chicken, I guarantee my families recipe is some of the best chicken you’ll ever eat. For all you guys on the forum, I will let you come eat for free and you guys be the judge. The food will be free for anyone that might be traveling through the upstate of South Carolina on the way the way to mustang week or whenever that mentions this post. If you insist on paying, I will donate all the money to svtperformance.com to do my part since I’ve learned so much from all you guys(well most of you lol) over the years. Just shoot me a PM if anyone wants to stop by. Oh and here’s the one picture I have of the chicken and will post up more if you guys want.

Where is the restaurant? I make the trip from GA to WV a lot. I typically go through Asheville NC, but can easily reroute to through SC. I'd refuse the free meal, but willing to support you/this site.

I'm in the Lowcountry. Post up where you're at, and I'll come pay a visit. No free meal needed my friend.

hmmm, we travel up 95 to 26 to 77 a couple times a year and the wife loves fried chicken. If you're along that route we'll have to try and swing through sometime.

We have 2 CFA restaurants in the small town I live in literally 1/4 mile apart on the same road. One is an eat-in with a kid playground and the other is a double drive thru with a picnic table area if you want to eat there. Both of them, especially the eat-in one stay PACKED. That place kills it

If we're talking about overrated, this is what we should be talking about.

Thanks for the compliments guys. My families old restaurant up in Brevard, NC shut down the KFC that was across the street about 10 years ago bc our chicken was that much better lol. We also serve like 7 different flavor hot wings that are really good, here’s my lemon pepper ones for lunch.

My restaurant is 2 miles outside of downtown Greenville right near hwy 25, the name and address is

The Clock on Cedar Lane
