What can I do to bring our interior “ up to date” . Those knob for the ac look way out off date . The radios look way too blank . What can I add to interior that made it look a little modem . For the exterior they never look old for me . But for the interior ( dash ) area need a little help . Add some carbon ?

I don't think you can modernize the interior by just adding carbon fiber. While a touch of CF would look nice to modernize I would think a custom interior would be needed....

I've been toying with different ideas for this. My first plan is to try covering the A pillars in Alcantara. And mount the microphone for m head unit in the pillar so no one will see it.

All the plastic parts should be covered in Alcantara that's would modernize it some. Then the guage cluster needs updating.

I have a entire interior update planned for my car but I’ve kept it a secret for some time. It would take cues from a lot of the newer supercars/performance cars but staying tame. It would be a long list if I put it here lol.
Simple list
•replace removable plastics with carbon fiber (if available, if not have made) I have a idea for a different finish that is not so “rice” looking
• new touch double din radio (already have)
• recaro sport seats re skinned like stocks (can be found in older evo’s for cheap and are identical to cobra R seats.)
• wrap steering wheel, upper sections of dash, door panel, arm rest, rear side panels in leather.
•replace knobs, switches, etc. with billet pieces powder coated to be matte black.

Now no one steal these ideas and say they are ricey so I can do them and make it look good lol

IMO it will look like crap. Mixing modern and an interior that dates back to the 90s will look cheesy.

^^^
What he said.
Placing modern bits into a 90s interior is not easy. Covering everything in alcantra, and carbon fiber may look good in something (maybe a Civic or Scion), but not in a 90s Mustang interior.

Call me old but I like riding in old cars. Today I took my 67 bug out for a nice little Sunday cruise, first time in a lonnnnng time. It has a speedo, a fuel gauge and a metal dash. I hopped in a friends 96 cobra and it still had a tape player, I thought it was the coolest thing. My 04 cobra is pretty modern to me...
