Anyone else frustrated with Ford over the next GT500?

Got virtually nothing to do with manliness per say, its got almost everything to do with the driving experience. If you want to tell me an auto is just as enjoyable, just as fulfilling an experience, well, so be it. Climbing into a performance car and just dropping the damn thing into "drive" is a pretty damn lame experience in my book.

We've had this argument in here ad nauseam, but there is a big difference between driving an automatic slush box and a properly sorted DCT.

I think you have it backwards. For example, they are killing diesel engined vehicles as we speak. If it doesn't fit the green mold it is on the way out.
Its interesting to say they are killing them off when there seem to be more of them winding up in trucks. Maybe in cars? Since sedans are giving way to SUVs you have to assume diesels will wind up there as well, until electric cars gain better range and charging network anyway

USA products have a bright future now. EPA and mpg mandates are much more reasonable. Shelved and regulated tech such as hyrdogenated exhaust cycles will likely see use. V8’s and manuals will stay available as demand dictates. Porsche brought the manual back. Think. Profits=everything. Can’t profit on non existent sales.

Diesel is great, especially quite, 5000rpm 250-400hp 5-6L compact diesels that fit in midsize suv’s and trucks.

So how "bad" do they pollute? Take a look at EPA standards and note the data for a given diesel vehicle for sale here in the US. I assume since we are talking about Nancy boys here in the US that you are talking current trends and as such, current vehicles. Not the gross polluters of the past.

Here's a page that will allow you to look at the actual data for a given manufacturer's engine. Once you choose one you'll see what vehicle it resides in. Then go back and look at older models and compare the requirements.

Of note - Ford has yet to get certification for a single engine for the 2019 model year.

I'm talking about Europe where diesels in passenger cars are pretty much dead. Trucks to follow.

I wonder why UPS no longer uses diesels in their delivery trucks in California?

I'm so glad that I am burned out with FI cars. I have a feeling that this one would be hard to pass up.
