2018 S550 Thread: Is it Ugly or is it Fugly

Now that the 18 has been around for a bit, cars have shipped, folks have modded them, and they are out and about.. lets have a pole. I figured we all have a more developed opinion of them by now.

I owned a 2016 GT PP when they announced the new front end/rear end update. I genuinely did not like it back then, and while i'm not as adverse to it, I still would never buy one intentionally. I think they are ugly, as does the lady friend and most of my car buddies.

What say you SVTp faithful?

I definitely like the front fascia of the 15-17 better. The 18 is okay, but I think that is only because the power increase makes up for the ugly.

Overall, I don't care for it at all. I thought it would grow on me but hasn't.

I will say that for whatever reason, the 2018 bullitt has appeal to me. I think its because I liked the 2001 so much. The 2008 was okay.

I'd rather buy an 18 over a 17. Never would I have thought I'd see a stock GT going 11s and respond to mods. The fact that it's ugly means everyone and their mom won't have one.

i'm not a huge fan of anything post 2014...S197 RULES!

maybe that will change when the new GT500 comes out, but I doubt it- based on all the camo sightings and renderings that I have seen it still appears to have the S550 body style overall- details may make it nicer but i'm not holding my breath. I thought it would grow on me but hasn’t yet.

That is certainly not the case where I live- it seems like the S550 is one out of every 5 cars on the road anymore, and growing like a fungus...mostly driven by what look like high school kids.

I like the new S550, loved the curved tail lights too, makes the 15-17 look older now. Only downfall of the '18+ S550 is the increased weight.

Too early to tell. I hated the 15 body but ended up buying a GT350 so I’ll give it a bit more time.
