Really, can it legally run at any sanctioned 1/4 mile track?
Seems legit to me.

That has nothing to do with a vehicle being able to be tagged for street use.

Going to compare it to a nasa space shuffle next? Come on man. Just admit the cars a badass one trick pony, it won’t kill you

Besides you don’t want to run slicks and skinnies on the road anyway...

Not a street legal car like the Demon brah....

And... drag radials =/= slicks and skinnies...

Dodge marketed the demon at the strip and now you say it can’t compete with other cars designed on the strip?

Dodge needs put down a run on a all four street tires and 93 oct as a normal street car, to compare it equally to other street vehicles.

Like I said earlier, dodge waved this when they tested their vehicle with sticky/skinny tires and high octane fuel.

Put it on four full size cup 2’s 93 oct and see what it will run so we can compare to other street driven vehicles.

How is he wrong? When's the last time you saw Dodge marketing the Demon on anything but a drag strip?

How many times have you been to a drag race that was made up entirely of street legal commuter cars? lol...

The point to me is that it's shipped with DRs on all corners and asking to down grade to a non-DR is pointless.
I DD my Hellcat on DRs (then snow tires :) ) but any Demon owner not running DRs full time is missing out.
Demon is a badass ride. You may not appreciate it but even as a one trick pony it does that one trick very well.
Give me a Drag Pak equivalent GT500 as an option and that's how I'd order MY GT500.
I guess I'd say who cares what a Demon runs sans DRs, it's a pointless idea.

Ok then I can compare it to the cobra jet as it shipped with the sticky/skinny combination.

I'm going to tell you something. I just warned you, yet you come back with this gem? The other Mods may tolerate this, I won't. See you in a week

Honestly, while my eyeballs sometimes bleed reading TT's posts, I don't really see how one guy gets a ban while the other doesn't for admittedly being nothing but a troll, trying to bait the guy. Zyborg doesn't add dick for value. His posts are never topical beyond trying to bait people into arguments using a bunch of idiotic teenage text-speak. He literally admits to doing this. I guess that's one way to run things, but I'd say it certainly lowers the overall quality and utility of the website.

I'm sure there's a barrage of "u mad bruh? lol =/-=" shit coming my way.

Except you cannot tag a cobra jet.

Want to compare it to a nasa space shuttle next? One is a LEGAL street car, one is NOT.

I don’t get how that’s hard to comprehend.

Again. Blinders.

Here's how. The "street legal" Demon competes on the CJ's turf. It needs certain things to pull an ET as shown by Dodge. Those things also happen to make it relatively unsafe or smart to operate on public roads, though sure, It can.

As it was just recently put, the Demon is a one trick pony. Yes, it's awesome. Yes, Dodge is awesome for even building it. But the GT500 is going to play to a larger audience and it'll excite enough to get people to stop talking about the Demon. Perhaps that's what the Ford guy meant by that comment...I for one, would love to see a GT500 program that allows the buyer to spec how he wants his car to be used, like a drag pack or a handling pack. I think the parts box that comes with the Demon is one hell of an idea.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Demon goes away for next year. I don't think Dodge can keep building high powered land yachts forever. They need a lighter sports car again.

Thought exactly the same.
