I was a pack a day smoker then my work decided to switch to a biometrics crap for our health insurance. Since tobacco would cause high premiums I switched to vaping thinking that would be fine. I then found out they test for nicotine, not tobacco.

So to ween myself off of nicotine I would drop down a level with each new bottle of juice until I was at zero, vaped with that for a couple weeks then quit that.

I do smoke cigars now. I just quit for a few weeks before my blood draw and I'm good to go, lol.

What kind of setup do you have? Or is there one online you could recommend? My mom used to smoke Carlton 100's haha and now rolls her own because of the cost. I've been wanting to get her started but it's one of those things I know she won't go out of her way to try unless I get her going on it. I figured even if she replaced a couple smokes a day with a vape, would help a little I'd like to think. But I don't smoke and know nothing about the things or what kind of flavors might appeal to her. Something I've been meaning to do for quite some time now but this thread just reminded me.

Chantix didn't work and honestly didn't want to quit for the right reasons. I enjoy smoking. I'm quitting for car budget reasons. Lol. 300 bucks extra budget a month....
I've quit coke and nicotine is something way different because it's everywhere.
I got a smok stick V8 kit with the 5ml tank. Full charge it last longer than the tank does. It hits like a strong cigar on the vanella flavor so you might want to try one too. Honestly it's pretty good tasting.
I plan on cutting back the nicotine levels slowly too.

Picked up vaping last August when my brother insisted and gave me one, haven't picked up a cigarette since. As for smoking and vaping being the same, there are 2 main chemicals in a vape and all of them are found in everyday foods the rest come from flavorings which are just food flavorings. There are 5000+ in a cigarette, I will take my chances. I started a new job about 6 months ago and one of my employees told me she always wondered why I always smelled like cake when she saw my vape and asked what it was. My wife also says the same thing, she hated the way cigarettes smell but when I smell like grape bubble gum or strawberry cake she likes it.

As for flavors, get Chubby bubble grape tastes like grape big league chew, personally it is the best flavor and I have tried 200+ of them. Another good one is called Heisenberg by innevape that one is damn good too.

When Obama was elected, he and my Governor both came out on raising sin taxes. That day I decided to quit. There was no vaping back then, so I used Nicorette. I didn't follow the 73 year Nicorette plan for quitting, I just chewed a piece when I was really desperate for a smoke. After three days, I was down to 4 pieces, the fourth day I quit using the gum. Until you are ready to quit, you will fail. I quit a hundred times, but that was always for someone else. Granholm and Barak finally gave me the inspiration to quit.

Chantix worked for me.

Best dreams I ever had at night too.

Stuff really does work, but you're supposed to take mental evaluation before using it and most doctors half ass that part.

Me too.
Pack a day for 25 years. Chantix took away all desire in 3 weeks.
But I WANTED to quit.
August 7th will be 5 years.

Serious question. How on earth do you START smoking cigarettes? They are expensive, gross tasting, and we have endless amounts of evidence on how self destructive it is. I understand it's incredibly addictive once you are hooked but how does it get that far?

The image, peer pressure, etc. Its probably different for everyone, but I imagine those two are big factors among teens.
