Hey everyone... I just bought a 03 cobra, Oxford white 6 speed solid axle from a guy in wisconsin. The car has a built engine, ported heads, comp stage 2 cams, and a 2.3 whipple. (3.0 upper-stock lower). I owned a white 04 back in 2007 and regretfully sold it just months later. I missed it ever since and 2.5 weeks ago i found another one that met my expectations. So far Im very happy with it and its quick as is but its never enough so the goal now is a single 76mm, ID1300's, full return fuel system from fore innovations, and e85. Im hoping to land around 850-900rwhp. Any input or advice is greatly appreciated as Ive been out of the gas world for a long time... (coming out of the diesel world right now).

Heres the car, some pics, and a quick video that I made with the magisto app.

Build sheet I got.

20 min in to the 200 mile trip home I get pulled over for no front plate and loud exhaust... Turns out the cop was originally from where I live and is cousins to a local friend of mine.... small world.

I haven't installed it yet... I'll have the kit in my possession Friday and I'm hoping to find a 99-01 cobra intake here soon... Any recommendations on what TB to run for my setup?

Took the car to the track this past weekend... it dynode 590rwhp at 15.5psi with this setup 11.28@122

On the last pass i launched at 5000rpm, went to grab second gear and i thought i missed a gear but ended up loosing control of the clutch... Its currently locked to the flywheel. I bought used mcleoud rxt clutch and flywheel. Ordered a lethal performance TOB a new pilot bearing and cable. I still need to order a new fork in case something is wrong with mine. The clutch will be here thursday so no pictures of that yet.

Heres the turbo kit. CG fab single kit custom cold side.

IMG_4097_zpsrugq7eih.jpg

had to put it on blocks to get it off the ground enough to get the trans out.. Im hoping this weekend Ill be able to get the clutch in and that issue fixed.

You can use your stock 03 timing cover, you just need a 99-01 or 03-04 Mach alternator. No changes to the pulley system need to be made since it still uses the same configuration.

i havent done the switch, but from people i talked to, you can use stock 03 cobra timing cover. this is what hpp and nick shortridge told me. ive been tempted to do the switch to a cg fab setup. and who knows what will happen in the next year. if i get bored or not. LOL :rolling:

you should wire tuck the relay box while you have it apart. its super easy just time consumeing and would look GREAT. if i was at the point you are at also i would move battery to the back and do mmr's coolant cross over delete and there overflow tank. clean up the engine bay alot. i also did infinite machine concepts ABS delete block. and removed the abs bulb so the light wasnt on. drives awesome and cleans up the engine bay quite a bit!!

Thanks for the help guys... I'm actually planning on doing the wire tuck... You know of a thread with details? Also planned on the pieces from mmr as well, just need to call them and get them ordered. Any downsides to deleting the abs?

So its been a week now since I started pulling it apart and I wish I could have more done by now but even with a MM k-member the long tubes were a pain in the @@@ to remove. Then came the oil cooler... it wasn't that bad once the power steering pump was out of the way but the one bolt took forever and Im happy its out. Getting the lower pulley off was a fun time also lol.

Today I managed to get the trans out and check out what was going on with the clutch... just take a look lol

why did you powder coat the runners on the 01 intake?

I bought the intake already done like this... Not something I chose. It will be coming back off this winter as well so it can be ported. Maybe they will removed the coating once they have it.

Thanks guys, don't worry I'll have plenty of pictures and videos in the near future.

I put my FP reg in the same spot but a little higher. Put all my tanks and fuse box in the fender wells too. You should do the wire tuck, side panels and ABS delete next time it's down. I did mine recently and it turned out sweet.

Sweet... I really thought it was a cool spot, should help keep some heat out of the fuel as well. I want to do the wire tuck but I just had surgery on my elbow last week and I'm asking my friends to come help me finish the car... I don't want to ask them to do the wire tuck soon so this winter I plan on doing the wire tuck... Same time I'm doing that the intake will get sent out to be ported and some more powder coating will be done also.

I did the abs delete already... I didn't have a choice because the compressor outlet was running straight into the abs motor... I forgot to post pics. Should have a lot of the loose ends tied up today... Unfortunately it won't be done till next weekend as I'm waiting for a different maf, and a few exhaust pipes from summit.

I had a pmas hpx but after speaking to pmas they said it wasn't going to be enough so I stepped up to the hpx-e and a 3.5" housing. Should be here Tuesday.

Fuel pumps wired up

IMG_4667_zps4gal4bmd.jpg

I need some help about the wiring i thought I had it right but when i turn the key on the pumps just keep running. They won't just prime and shut off so ill have to do some digging on that. I have a dual fpm setup that I'm leaving in there. I took the brown/pink positive coming out of the second fpm and wired it to the remote 1 on the FC3 then a jumper from that to remote pump 2. This way both pumps will be running at the same time. Then i took the red/black to chassis ground.

IMG_4660_zpsjbkfeygb.jpg

Heres a video of the pumps starting for the first time.

And this is where it sits now...

Todays list of things to get done is..

Get trans fluid and coolant
Get a oiil filter for the relocate kit
Vacuum lines ran.

After that all it needs is the cold side piping and exhaust tied in. Then a base tune and off to the dyno. It will be running by next weekend with the exhaust on and cold side fabbed.
